Known Issues for Update 5

    Telegraphs are inaccurate.

    Many fights the hit range of a red circle effect is much larger than the telegraph of that effect. It doesn't happen Every time but it happens often enough to cause serious issues. Garron the Returned in Wayrest for example standing well away from the Summon Minion exploding diamonds I was double tapped for damage 3 fights in a row. The group assumed I was just eating reds until it also happened to the tank a few times.

    There also seem to be quit a few abilities that double tap for damage. Dark Root in Elden was also doing it, when standing well away from all other group members the light would strike for 2k(ish) and a second strike for 1300 +/-. CoH Nerien'eth, his large skull power attack would double tap occasionally. Keeper Imiril in BC weapon attack, double taps. Not hitting once with each weapon because she dual wields.

    I'll try to keep an eye out for others but these are the ones I have noticed so far.

    This happens only in dungeons, after playing for some time weapon swap is causing a screen freeze and this freeze time increases with each swap , 2 secs at first , 10 secs next and so on , it does not crash though , just freezes and it froze for an entire minute , when i got killed and the entire group wiped.

    Note: Crafting Writs may be performed every 20 hours, and are available for every tier of crafting.

    This doesn´t seem to work at all. It depends on my character level more than my crafting level. The crafting should be the important level in this, but my level 45 NB with 50 in all crafts only get lvl 50+ writs to complete.

    It's based on your points in the crafting skill. 1/9 Blacksmithing you will make Iron items, 9/9 Blacksmithing you will make Voidstone items. Then tiers between those.

    Still waiting on a reply for these two posts....obviously, one is quite serious...since a full set of gear is now broken even worse than before.

    PLEASE do not go silent on your community.
    This is the time that members of the Community Team should be out in full force and answering these sort of questions and giving some reply as they occur. Yet in the handful of replies that happen over night, nothing is answered or responded to. Ignoring them entirely does no good for the Development team's image in situations like this. You have a community full of people who are not happy about the extent of the bugs that have popped up with this patch, so please, start actually addressing them. It can be as simple as saying "We are sorry the patchnotes are wrong" or "This is being forwarded to the dev team". The people here, posting these messages and telling you about the bugs in the game are the ones that CARE about seeing this game survive. If you want to go the same way of SWG, continue to not give feedback until it is too late. Otherwise, actively engage your community. At least it makes us as a community feel like the feedback we are giving you is actually being heard and not falling upon deaf ears.

    Per Patch Note:
    • Absorb (Defensive Posture morph): This ability now absorbs 100% of damage caused, and also heals for 15% of your maximum health.

    In Game:
    • Absorb Magic (Defensive Posture morph): Absorbs 100% of Next Spell Projectile and heals for 15% of your maximum health.

    There is a world of difference between what the patch notes imply and what is currently in game. If this is not a bug, please let us know so we don't expect something else.

    I don't know if someone already mentioned this, but me and few guildies are experiencing a strange noise when using Crushing Shock. It sounds like when you cancel a bow animation and the arrow just falls down. It's sooo annoying.

    These are just the ones I have noticed so far. As usual with an update comes the new glitches and problems. Thanks ZOS.

    Plus the dual wield skill Flurry and its morphs are now silent. And we have the return of the silent foot falls, especially after returning from death.

    Other sounds now sound over-boosted, such as burning talons, and I've made no change to my sound settings or hardware.

    :) Yes, I was using the add-on Borrower and Lender (if you've played in the Covenant you know where THAT comes from) to mute all bankers all the time. Alas it no longer works after this patch.

    I'm not aware that the game ever did display the motif type. I know there is an addon called Craftstore that displays the name of the motif. It became out of date with the 1.5 update so if you were using this addon then it may be currently disabled in your game. If you select the option to allow out of date addons then it does still work.
    If they ever create a Legendary recipe it better contain bacon as one of the ingredients. I'm just sayin'.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno‌ - Can you please add the borked provisioning. I don't see this mentioned anywhere on your known issues with release of 1.5

    All foods and drinks are incorrectly giving random number buffs instead of their displayed value. Tested level 1 - 50 foods of green, blue and purple quality and same for drinks.

    Example - Consumate Honey Brittle (purple +385) gives +400-ish health, +276 magika and even less stam (250-ish?) I will try to share screenshots later today if I can, but it's very easy to test - all food behaves the same.
    - HP stat: Slightly higher than what's listed (usually about +40)
    - Magika stat - Always lower than what's listed (usually much lower, 40-100 points less)
    - Stamina stat - Always lower than what's listed (even on food that only gives you +stam, it gives you less than what's listed).

    No longer healing pets is a bad thing....... a very bad thing.

Again, /bug at the location you experience this will allow us to go in and see exactly what's happening.

    Finally, Nightblade's "Sneak Attack" and morphs: Before I dig into this, are you referring to "Veiled Strike?"

    Hi @ZOS_EdLynch‌, I can definitely answer that question of when the "spaghetti noodle" or "roller skating" legs occur, at least for me. I have a mod called "simple helmet toggle" which allows you, with the press of a key, to toggle whether you want your helmet shown or not. Well, while running, when I press this key and let's say I hide my helmet, my character will start doing the "spaghetti noodle" dance every time. Or when it I toggle the helmet back on while running it will do this as well. My characters running animation will only reset back to normal if I stop moving, then start running again, or if I jump. I haven't tried swapping weapons yet, but I've been told by others that this works. I'm not sure if that helps pinpoint where the error is but at least it is reproducible under these exact circumstances every time. Whereas prior to patch 1.5 going live, I did not have this issue at all, and yes I had the same exact mod which allowed me to toggle the showing of my helmet. And indeed I used to toggle this option while running around.

    Ok so this time, I have exactly pinpointed the occurrence for the "spaghetti noodle" legs (legs becoming limp below the knee), or the appearance of characters "roller skating". It happens exactly whenever one leaves a workstation table, whether it is a blacksmithing, woodworking, clothing, alchemy, enchanting or even a Dye workstation. I can produce the effect of the odd running animation consistently every time when i leave one of these aforementioned stations. Of course, once I stop moving then run again, the running animation corrects itself. If you recall in my earlier post (quoted above) I had noticed this odd running animation whenever toggling to hide/unhide my helmet through a mod while running. Well, the connection here is that whenever one enters a workstation, your character's helmet is taken off or I guess in the sake of the Dye station, it is put on. I'm guessing whenever one enters a workstation, your character's armor/appearance is refreshed, and perhaps it is during this refresh state of your character's appearance that this is when the bug occurs causing your character to have an odd run animation. I have reported the bug under 141107-01142.

    Can we also get the AOE Cap of 6 enemy's placed on Elemental Wall and all it's morphs please? There's like 6 threads devoted to how broken the skill is currently.

    Applying the cap would be the simplest solution, rather than going in and recoding the skill.

    I'm a nightblade vampire that uses bows and either restoration staff or dw and these elemental walls are never a problem for me. They are stationary for God's sake. ROLL OUT OF THE WAY! It's easy, aa, ww, ss, dd.

    Low Population bonus kicking in again on EU Thornblade. AD now gaining +552 points while at locked population.

    Well I got all my points in blacksmithing, clothing and woodworking, so if that is how it should work, it´s broken. Ive maxxed everything in those lines except Keen eye. I could only get rank 1 as maximum. My char is lvl 45.

    Launcher/Download speed: My launcher often repairs and I can't get back into the game. I was able to play the new patch the day of, but maybe since the hotfix? I've been downloading something (the whole game?) for two days now.

    Skills not working: I noticed that my taunts quite often didn't work. I don't know if other skills are affected. I haven't been able to play for the last couple of days remaining on my sub since the download is strangely taking so long.

    Perhaps I'm simply not understanding it and I don't believe this could possibly be by design as I don't see the benefit, so I'll list it here just in case it is a bug. (Feel free to enlighten me.)

    I went looking for some iron ingots and didn't find what I was looking for within any of the guilds I trade within, so I hopped over to find some guild kiosks and started searching... but... I felt like they all looked the same... then I noticed that I was a seller for a couple of the items – for guilds I didn't belong to.

    I hurriedly captured a few screenshots and then scurried off to the patch notes to see if I missed something.

    I did come across the following note:
    The guild store now remembers the last guild's store you visited, and will reopen to that guild store when you visit again.

    However, I'm not sure this is entirely applicable in this instance... considering these are guilds I don't belong to.

    I don't belong to either of these guilds – yet I was listed in their kiosk, along with other members of a guild I belong to.

    I've been posting issues with the new chat in a Feedback topic but I think I'll post the most important one here.

    The chief problem is clipping with nearby objects. In this video it gets bad when the speaker is standing next to a large structural protrusion, in this case inside the Tribunal Temple. I've also seen it with overhead banners and such. The devil here is viewpoint. I don't know if how you'd see the text of these clipped speakers if you were standing at another angle to them.

    Alas, CraftStore is no more. It's been removed at the author's request. That's what I get for deciding to do a clean installation I suppose, but it would have eventually stopped working I imagine if no longer supported.

    Spent the entire week downloading/repairing the patch and finally got it to work last night, but now I have no sound at all. The intro logo screens have sound effects but after I get in game there is no sound at all.

    If you cast Nova Ultimate or it's morphs and are interrupted just as you are casting or dodge roll, your ultimate is used up but you don't cast the attack.

    I only checked some blue food. Fortified Sweetroll pre-patch was +312 to health and magicka. Now its tooltip says +468 to both stats, but gives me +468 health and +343 magicka (edit: uncapped). Fortified Flank Pie (level 35) tooltip says +316 health and magicka, that'd be more than the Sweetroll before update 5 :)
