You seem like an upset person who got rolled too many times by an organized group that synergized their skills together well.
The game was too keep focused anyway.

With all due respect, you seem like a person who's upset the game has changed and refuse to change your tactics with it.
Adapt, adjust, and you'll be back on top soon enough.
Daoc was keep focused too, yet the best battles were in open field fights. Broaden your horizons a bit and seek battles outside of keeps once in a while. I simply find keep fights far less interesting than random battles in different terrain.LonePirate wrote: »The game was too keep focused anyway.
You're trolling us now, right? The singular goal of gameplay in Cyrodiil is to capture keeps in order to crown an emperor. The entire focus of the zone is keep-centric. It is how the game was designed. It is how control will be granted to the Imperial City.
Are you sure you are playing the correct game? Do you even understand this game?
I havent really played much since 1.5 came out. Even before this patch my playtime has been really minimal due to other priority's. The fact that i cant just res and dive bomb into groups or w.e, and also that i have to play more cautiously to try not to die very well could be a deal breaker for me.

This kind of says it all. Forward camps rewarded dive bombing and punished cautious play. Some of us like a more deliberate setting.

The goal of the game is to take keeps..not land..not territory...not fenced in apple orchards..not ayleid wells..I could go on.But Keeps.
True, there have been choke points that have popped up such as milegates and bridges but after fighting at these for three hours(with no clear winner and no decisive ap gain) I see folks logging..going back to un sieged keeps..un sieged outposts and simply stopping.
We met AD before they got to Sej three times..out in the middle of a field..after killing them a few times..they stopped coming back..Sej was never sieged. Things got boring. I logged.

If the only goal is to take keeps then why isnt there just a row of keeps for us to run up and fight over. Just a simple map with keeps and strongholds. Nothing else, because that aint the goal right? Just mind-numbing fights at keeps...all day long. Right out of your stronghold right into a keep or right outside a keep. No need for strategy or tactics, just run in with you mouth open, your pee-pee out and guns a blazing going pew-pew-pew.
Dont be ridiculous.

I'm not talking about zerging a keep, zerging doesn't require tactics, inside keeps or open fields. I'm talking about organized groups capping/defending keeps against bigger numbers. That requires a great deal of tactics and skill now that fobs are gone.

Also Columba.
How'd you like us "Impulse Monkeys" farming you at your camp inside of your Alma Ruma gate? We didnt even burn the camp just to continue collecting your 0 AP, then took your scroll after the camp went down.
Sit down. You dont understand guild PVP and are quite obnoxious honestly.

Have at it, honestly. I don't really care. More AP for me. I am sorry that the game is no longer conducive to players hurling themselves at enemies with that impulse spamming nonsense, but most of the players despise that game play and it does lag the game out. I saw big fights last night in multiple locations. You seem to be upset that they aren't as forgiving as perma rezzing. Too bad, though.
Btw, I understand guild pvp quite well, thank you. It doesn't equate to impulse spamming. The latter isn't pvp. It's donkey kong.

Your clueless.
Yes many people find the constant and immediate action that FCs allowed, very fun. I understand that. The problem is that it also took away enjoyment from PvP for lots of other folks, like me. I hated the fact that the actual map was not being used. People would just port to the nearest camp outside of a besieged keep. And when they die they just respawn there, along with everyone else. I hated the endless zerg fights requiring no skill and where my abilities didn't work and where I died to stuff I didn't see myself get hit by.
Myself, I love to ride around Cyrodiil (in group or solo) and find some random encounters for a change. Just some small scale grp vs grp or 1v1 PvP. Sure, there were dueling guilds but it simply isn't the same. Its a totally different setting. I love being able to do stuff with a small group/solo outside of the big sieges that makes an impact on the battle. Now that is possible. Right now there's way more styles of PvP that occur naturally and offer more different ways of having fun. The big sieges are still there. They just require a more thorough strategy to sustain. Something else than just spawning endless FCs. Overall it is just a more complete battlefield at the moment.
