Armor debuff do not work correctly in the game still. This is a huge bug since you can't debuff armor or pen anyone.

Also, need more gear sets which have Pierce Rating on it.

This has been a known issue for a long time. I don't think Zeni have ever acknowledged it though so don't hold your breath waiting for a fix ;)

this is really one of the main things that makes heavy useless. The passives for heavy arent that bad, maybe have bracing (the 5 piece passive) give the 20% reduce cost to block and also give like 10/20% block mitigation or like 10% damage reduction overall or something like that. That would give heavy enough reason to be used by tank tanks.
Banned for Naming and Shaming exploiters. Great ideology ZOS.

I agree, but if I have to post this everyday I will. This needs to be fixed. So much of this game does not even work and they use smoke and mirrors to hide things.

Molten Whip: Deals Flame Damage to target and sets immobile or stunned enemies off-balance.

Armor doesn't effect spell damage. Whatever difference you are seeing is from some passive he has. Spell Resist is what you want for spells/magic damage. Try it again with melee abilities, specifically, WEAPON abilities that use stamina. It works. I have tested it.

Also, your character twitches around way too much and the video gave me a headache.

ahh, but there is an obvious decrease in damage done when his opponent adds more armor.

We had a dev quote recently that said that basically all things that scale with weapon crit go against armor and all things that scale with spell crit go against spell resistence, they are apparently the same thing behind the scenes.

So in general, melee skills usually go against armor and use weapon crit, even if they are magicka based. AFAIK, in this case, flame whip goes against both flame resistance and armor, but not spell resistence.

I don't know for sure, but I'd think the inconsistency we are seeing here is because only the armor part is subject to reduction through skills whereas the fire resistence part isn't, but then I don't know how exactly they work together anyhow.

No, you are right. Just most people think because something is spell power it is not based off of weapon crit and armor.

I'm the test subject from the video and this is only one test we recorded quite quickly after a dueling session. There have been many more and I can confirm that both armor and fire resistance affects whip's damage. In other words, if I use bound armor spell, I will decrease it without any fire resistance glyphs. If I use it with fire resistance glyphs, I will decrease it even further.

One of the problem was (specifically with Gallius the DK from the video) is that he wanted to use the covenant swords (2h with armor reduction) and 1) they are still bugged (this needs to be fixed already, enchant is useless) and 2) Even when he does reduce your armor (or I unequip it), it simply doesn't matter as the damage is the same with 0 armor and 1K armor.

This is a weird issue and needs more thorough testing by the developers. Maybe the spell (skill) can't do any more damage after a player gets to a negative softcap in terms of armor, I am not sure. But it needs looking into for sure.
