Have I gotten really bad overnight....or did enemies recieve a stealth buff in vet?

    1.4 -> 1.5 we got nerfed 15-20% in PvE, loot seems to have been nerfed into oblivion.
    Impulse & Whirlwind both are often not hitting at all on the first part...

    Made me feel yesterday that suddenly I'm too stupid for the game and need to improve. And I had to optimize the abilities bar and to try new combinations and different play style. Guess what? It worked. Awesome.

    It's not just vet ranks. I have low level alts that are getting their butts kicked on quests that were easily handled previously by earlier alts... and their asses are being handed to them before they ever get to end bosses; not quite trash mobs, but certainly not even minor/intermediate bosses.

    So, they'll never earn the appropriate quest XP.

    It's obviously due to stat changes and DPS nerfs (e.g., weapons are now "missing" a lot; splash damage from two-handed swords isn't happening at all).

    If the 1.5 patch is "working as intended", then Matt Firor and company need to find a different profession.

    It's not just Mobs dropping less, I opened a few chests last night with varying success of loot drops, I had an intermidiate just drop 60 gold and thats it!

    3 hit kill mob Monday is now a 4 hit kill - I was being generous...
    Just because you cannot count doesnt mean the rest of us cant...

    I had noticed that the mobs were different yesterday while running around a VR 5 area, but I also felt that my toon was also more resilient. So it felt like a decent balance of changes.

    There's no difference at all. It's still the exact same faceroll it used to be. They don't hit harder. Their health isn't higher. You may be hitting for less if you didn't respec properly or note the changes to skills. In fact many mobs had their health reduced significantly in yet another Vet zone nerf. I've been out for a play testing and there's almost no change at all for my characters.

    I have noticed that my set bonuses on one character that relate to weapon damage never work after logging in (and sometimes zoning) unless I take off a bit of the gear per set and put it back on. This has been a "sometimes bug" forever but appears to be guaranteed now. This could be affecting some of you perhaps? Other than that.. the XP has been nerfed but that's about it.

    Is not the change on impulse radius reduced from 8 to 6 meters? No change in damage outside of this.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Whirlwind was hitting like a truck in PVP last night, first time I've ever died to it and it happened a lot.

    In each case the mob was toe to toe with me, but it was also happening with whirlwind, which hasnt has that sort of nerf.

    I'm concluding ZOS has reintroduced a whole raft of older bugs which is what is making things seem worse than they actually are, and it could be that the server, as bad as they are, thinks the mobs are 6m from where the client does...
    That would not surprise me at all...

    ..they did fix the spell penetration bug that was seeing spells completely bypass all enemy resistance... I wonder of this could be the root cause of your issues?

    All I did yesterday after sorting out my skills and attributes were a few Cyrodiil dungeons (where the mobs do NOT scale up to my level, they remain v5 to my v14) and 3 dolmen in Cyrodiil. All I can offer is anecdotal evidence at this point:
    My aoe dps seemed about the same as ever, no stress there, but on one of the dolmen I nearly died to a daedroth boss because it hit so damn hard! I've been soloing dolmen for months, this did not feel normal, especially for a mob that's 9 levels below me.

    I'm quite happy for things to remain a little more challenging though, I didn't like that they nerfed vet content in the first place! You don't improve or learn any new tricks if you aren't pushed and challenged.

    Before the update I had 49 attributes points:
    29/9/11

    Now at VR9 I got 57 of them
    32/13/12

    And getting the feeling my character has gone a bit weaker.
    My skill points are spent exactly as prior the update

    I notice no difference whatsoever, and I'm certainly having no difficulty (at least so far as enemies go - saying nothing of broken skills).

    I simply can't relate to anything in this thread. The game is generally quite simple, and has been since they last nerfed the enemy difficulty. Any changes 1.5 may have introduced are minor to the point of being imperceptible. If anything, I feel stronger now with the stamina buffs. If trash mobs are giving you trouble I suggest you look first to your character build, because barring any kind of bug that might account for your experience being different from mine (unlikely in this instance, I think), I can't imagine how you're having such difficulty. Any comparison to the game prior to the vet nerf is spurious - simply not to be taken seriously.

    Havent noticed any massive difference either. Except maybe Killers Blade - seems to be less reliable than usually.
    P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.
