It fits lore, considering Auridon is part of the Summerset Isles, home area of the Altmer, who are racists against all others of Nirn, especially Men.

It's not just in Auridon.. Every race is reciest to another or all. Several times have the Breton and the Redguard try and kill off the Orcs. The Dark Elves enslaved the argonians.. and now with the Pact being formed the Argonians are supposed to be free but they are still looked down up on by the Dark Elves. And the Race of Men, both Imperial and Nords are raciest to all Elves.
They are all Raciest. Ignore that and only calming the Altmer are raciest only makes it look as if you didn't follow the lore.... In any of the TES games.

Only because of their terrible smell and lack of wits.AlexDougherty wrote: »Orcs are also frequently picked up because of their race.

Racism was present toward Argonians in Skyrim as well. They were allowed to work on the docks at Windhelm but not allowed to live inside the city proper. At least the Dunmer had the Gray Quarter.AlexDougherty wrote: »Racism was present in Skyrim, were Dunmer were secondclass citizens in windhelm.
Racism was Present in Oblivion, were Argonians and to a lesser extent Khajiit were regarded as scum
Orcs are also frequently picked up because of their race.

I missed that one, thanks.
It doesn't surprise me though, not after Oblivion's treatment of them.
