ESO Takes an EXTREMELY LONG time to start

So the getting in, logging in, selecting the character that takes about a minute. going from there to game can take up to 15 minutes. I have 50mbs down 6 up so I by no means have crap internet.

Is this normal for ESO to be taking this long to go from character selection to play? Any other loading screen in game that they have takes 2 seconds to load. WTH is ESO doing loading the whole game and every texture?

GW1 was good for background streaming when needed ....

That sounds broken, it takes the same amount of time as any other loading screen to go from the character select to playing for me

Same here. 15 minutes does not sound normal at all.

Usually if its right after a patch or content push like tomorrows then it can take a lot longer up to 15 minutes. But after you log in and get going it shouldn't take that long until the next content or patch.

Something definitely sounds broken. Takes me maybe a minute+ to connect.

I have the same connection as you @ 50/7.5mbps and from character select it takes no longer than 30 seconds usually.

I would contact CS if it persists. I have not had those kind of wait times since beta/headstart.

If you've swapped servers, as in gone from NA to EU or PTS then yes, it does take much longer to load, usually just over 5 mins for me. This also seems to apply when there has been a patch also.
