I think we need more skills slots, at least 5 skills slots more, there are many good skills and we cant use them all because of this, i dont know if you all have spoken about this but really i think is a good idea. :)

5 + Ultimate is the perfect amount. If we were allowed more a lot of builds would have no weaknesses.

No. I would like them to fix weapon swapping though.

As has been discussed ad nauseam:

The point of the limited actionbar is precisely so that you can't use all your good skills at once. Make choices based on the situation and the needs of your group.

You only need 5 skills at a time, if you have the right skills on the bar for the situation you are in.

You need to change out your skills on the bar for the situation you are heading to. For example, going to fight Daedra, then put some Fighter's Guild skills on the bar. Going into a Public Dungeon, put some AoE skills on the bar, going up against a boss, put DPS skills on the bar.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I would seem well 5 skills slots for the class skills and 5 skills slots for the weapon skills.

I have 6, one for each skill and one for the ultimate.

But each weapon line has only 5 skills. You want to have all of them on your bar at all times?

2(5+1) is enough. I sometimes wish for one more slot, especially with characters who use togglable skills, but I'm fine without it.

I like the way it is now. It makes me deliberate on how to orient my skills for whatever I'm doing. I do wish weapon swapping was more reliable because it would make my templar DPS bar+ Healing bar easier.

Yeah, it has been discussed too many times, some of us want no change, some want a few more (1or 2 myself), some want ten ples ultimate, and some want all of them on their skill bar.

Devs aren't going to change this, so discussing it is Pointless (and not the TV show either).

I think the reason they choose 5 and not more is they were setting it up for playstation, players etc. but yea 2 or 3 more skill slots would be good

Some want additional slots some don't. Any easy fix would be to have the Ultimate Slot optional. What I mean by that is the slot could be filled with an Ultimate or another skill depending on how the player wanted to set up his/her bar. So in essence a player could op for a six skill bar or 5 skill and one ultimate.

I wouldn't mind having a 6th allocated for buffs, but not for any other skills.

I like the current skill bar, always have. But I would like to see a "save skill loadout" on the skill screen. I know this is coming down the pipe (as mentioned in the guild summit), but I just want it a little sooner :)

Wykkyd's Outfitter has that. I am still figuring it out, but you can save pre-sets and then switch between them. I'm trying to work with a Destro/DW, a Heal/Heal and a Bow/Skill levelling sets depending on what armor I'm wearing.

No, we don't need more skill slots.

Yes, 5 + Ultimate is slightly restrictive, but it is designed that way to encourage you to be selective and choose a good batch of skills to match your build/play style.

Too many skills lots makes for a messy, uncoordinated system. It is great the way it is.

Hmm, I've never got into add-ons but it might be time. I hear about a lot of great ones my guild uses but this might just put me over the edge. Thanks!

(*) (*) (*) (*) (*) I got the perfect solution that would make both the haters and the people that want this happy.

Keep the current 5 slots for peple with 2 weapon sets and they can mix the skills as usual. Then give the option to choose one weapon skill line but be able to have 8-10 skill slots with no ability to swap becuase they can only choose one skill line.

This way the people that like 5 will have what they want without complaning about the 10 slots unbalancing things. This would make pure classes which would be interesting. I play a NB Archer and it's kind of use less to have a 2nd skillline since i want to be ranged and use stamina. So it would make more sense for builds like those.

I don't think it's at a coincidence that PC MMOs made by developers who expressed an interest in also releasing them on a console have this limit. Eg. DCUO, TSW, ESO. There's only so many buttons on a controller.

But I think it's a good limit. I absolutely loathe MMOs like SWTOR where you have 20+ abilities strewn across the screen and you're expected to play cooldown whack-a-mole across it. No thank you.

This particular aspect of ESO's combat is just right as is IMO.

Those 5 skills slot we have today is total ok and beside i think it was design so it will fit for hand control for PS4 and Xbox if game go live on that as well.

The only thing I want is a better way to swap skills/weapons when I'm out of combat. There are quite a few boss fights I find myself reworking my slots just for that fight then I have to put it back. Basically save my favorite combos and replace them like a macro. There's probably an addon that does something like that.

Yah i would also like to see that. But its more for PVP as i use other skills in pvp then pve.

I can only think of one thing that would help. A sixth slot. The slot would be for a buff only. As in the skills that "if slotted do this or this" it would free up one spot and at the same time limit you in which one buff you could run. I'd be happy with something like that.

Well, you see, the problem with having more skills available to a player is we'd have to think...

Right now all I have to do is press 1-2-3-4-5 in sequence. No brain power required at all. Every fight: 1-2-3-4-5... and sometimes I have to press "R". If I'm bored I can press the LMB.

It hurts when I have to press "R" because that engages my brain and I have to actually wake up when I'm playing.

Only people who don't use a controller say this. You can do a hell of a lot more with a controller than you are thinking.

Yes. The 5 skill bar slot decision is terrible and fantastically limiting. Apparently there's about 300 skill points you can obtain in the game. And room to have 10 abilities. That's 290 passive abilities.

At what point is this a good idea?
