Will you attempt to complete upcoming dailies (crafting writs, Undaunted)?

Some believe dailies are a lazy way to "force" players into a grind/chore for the sake of logging in to play. In the case of ESO, I disagree with that sentiment, and believe it will please most players to have a few more things to do in game. Still, let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

If they're worthwhile, absolutely. If they give me nothing decent for maxed crafts, absolutely not. If they're an awful source of gold income, absolutely not.

They need to be worth it, just like everything else in this game, something ZOS has had trouble getting right off the bat.

Not going to actively attempt to complete any "daily" task. However, if perchance the things I do actually complete a daily during my normal game play......good on it.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

I probably will do some of the crafting dailies but not all that I possibly could do since I have several alts and I'm just not that compulsive a player.

I probably will do Undaunted dailies a few times a week if I can find decent people to go with. I don't think I care that much about the prize, it's more about the experience and I don't mean experience of the XP variety :)

At the lower levels they interfere with the leveling curve so I probably don't do them much.

At VR... probably occasionally. I don't play daily so even if I wanted I cant do them every day ;)

If the dailies are worth completing, it is still going to feel like a chore.

If the reward for dailies aren't worth it, then it was a feature that was best left in the backlog while other features should have been developed instead.

People should want to logon to play a game on a daily basis because it's fun and they enjoy it. Not feel pressure to logon because they are left with the feeling that if they don't logon daily, their character's advancement is being stunted. Perceived or real, doesn't matter...games are about how they make the players feel.

Features like Justice System, great idea -- optional, dynamic, live, player driven content...all good things

Dailies...not so much. It just smacks of a heavy handed approach to try to keep people subscribed. and...it's a chore...and nobody likes doing chores.

    That sums up my view.

There's a lot of things I like about Guild Wars 2 but with all the various daily homework chores I can only play it for about a month before not playing it is a huge relief. I was just recently thinking about going back to check out the Halloween stuff but knew there would be even more homework tasks waiting for me. So I didn't and I felt relieved.

Same experience with Star Trek Online. Daily homework chores of all descriptions. Mind-bogglingly dreadful event chores with a pay-with-real-money-instead alternative. Liked lots of things about the game but the homework stuff wrecked it.

Games I enjoyed but no longer play because of dailies. It'd be disappointing if dailies wrecked ESO too but I'd just cancel my sub and find something else to play.

In addition to Nerouyn, let's face it: The introduction of dailies is definitely going to widen the gap between new players and veterans, so that they will not dare to compete with them in Cyrodiil in the long run. True, this depends on the rewards, but still... those who start the game will get told, "rush through this, we'll run you through that, so that you can get XY". Destruction of a game is what I call it.

This is Elder Scrolls after all...

This new feature is interesting for daily PVE players. It is the occasion to do different dungeons with a reward at the end. Personally, until now, once I've finished a dungeon and got the skill point from the quest ; I didn't come back !
I'm going to do these quests and I hope rewards worth it.

This poll needs an "It depends" option.

For the Undaunted pledges, there is no way I would bother completing the Non-Veteran dungeon pledge unless I decide to join a group of lowbies and not as their group leader. Both the Silver and Bronze rewards are not worth the time or hassle of completing these dungeons due to the dungeons scaling up to VR12. For the Veteran pledges, they are only worthwhile if you are going after the new helms and pauldrons - and I am not convinced those are worthwhile after the initial cool factor fades.

If you are leveling the craft skill lines, then the crafting writs should be completed every day. For max level crafters, there is less incentive to complete them.

There is no reason to complete the Alchemy Writ more than once if you are a max level Alchemist unless you simply want the quest XP.

The Enchanting Writ is only worth doing for the chance of receiving a Survey Report which might lead you to 2-4 Kuta rune stones.

Similarly, the Blacksmithing, Clothing and Woodworking Writs are only worth doing for the chance of receiving a Survey Report that might lead you to Upper Craglorn where you can find 3-5 Nirncrux stones.

The Provisioning Writ should be completed every day by everyone. Each writ rewards a recipe and new recipes are coming with the Provisioning overhaul in Update 6. Also, you will receive 10-20 mats that previously could only be obtained from grocers, thus saving you 630-1260g. Their value comes from not needing to buy them for future use given their resell value is practically nothing.

Of course if you are trying to accumulate XP for Champion Points, then all of these dailies should be completed as often as possible:

Where are you getting the numbers for what you might find… PTS?

The ESO vid from mid-October says the writ leads you to an area, like a treasure map, where you will find several nodes yielding more than normal.

The Upper Crag for Nirncrux writ was stated as an increased chance in an area to find them on nodes, not a set number… so 3-5 would seem to be an utterly insane number unless you have seen it happen.

    Just curious.

Personally looking forward to doing as many of both kinds as I can when it hits.

I'd love to give them both a try but I probably won't do them every day. I like dailies, but if I get too involved and do them every day it starts seeming more like a boring chore and I'm not interested in homework, as one user called it. But sure, every now and then when I want a break from face slaying!

I'm not wasting my time each day getting like 500g?

    1000g (Short quest)
