I think that we each, individually, have things that we would prioritize first before other things, most of which is a matter of opinion. While they are worthy to US as the players, I think that ZOS has their own ideas of what should be done first. And it doesn't matter if we don't like it or if we do. We can voice our dislikes and things that matter to us but it doesn't mean anything will come because of it.

It is a shame its going to be a while, its one of those things we've been asking for since the beginning but I am glad its at least in the works to actually be something we get. Other things many are asking for, it doesn't sound like there's a future for, such as more character slots.

The amount of things they can work on at any given time and the speed at which these things are implemented greatly depends on how much manpower they are ready to assign to game development.
If simple things like a barber that people have been asking for since Beta get absolutely no progress between Quakecon (july 2014, answers from Paul Sage about it) and live#4 (3 months later), I think that we have the right to be concerned.

    Quakecon:
Paul: "We like to introduce a RP mechanic where players can earn these and give them to each other. It is coming, just a question of how and when."

That's really interesting. I had no idea he wanted to introduce an "RP mechanic" wherein players can....what exactly? Give each other haircuts? WTH? But okay, I can grant that he has some neato thing in mind. Fine. But if he can't get to it until the first of Never....it would be FAR better to appease us a little now and just give us a simple barber. THEN knock our socks off later with a far cooler system for character customization.

Perphaps there is an opportunity here to let devs make a tool for modders that allows creation of many appearance and graphical option, yes, creation kit for ESO :disappointed_relieved:
There modders could make new models, tectures, maybe even maps or building and submit them to dev team so that they can select what is aproriate to use. Would save their work and give more options that we miught like.

Sad that such tool could be hard to made for this engine but anything is possible.

It amazes me as to why Zeni didn't continue a well known tradition among Elder Scrolls games and open up cosmetic modding with this one so we can simply download the look we want and install it for OUR OWN viewing pleasure. (Y'know...because we've installed it on our end only, we'll be the only ones to ever see it kind of cosmetic mod) [Moderator Note: Edited per our rules on Bashing & Slanderous Comments]

I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

I guess you're nobody until you have a stalker. Glad to see I've finally "arrived."

My guess is they are further along with this Barbershop thing than they tell us. One of these days they will just announce, oh hey, guys, by the way...

Kind of like how they did the whole FaceFX thing that no one really knew they were working on until one day they said, oh hey guys, by the way...

OP, perhaps something along the lines of:

Dear Divines YES! LOL I also play The Sims 3 (Currently building Shadevale Manor, the manor our guild would live in if, you know, we had HOUSING!) and my running joke with my friends is that what I really want is the game that is the secret love child of ESO and The Sims! LOL

    ESO's version of EQN Landmark?

I don't actually know what that is.
