Every setlement should really have a tradepost where people can sell stuff.
For example, If there is a tradepost near crafting place for certain set, the set would be cheaper there and the further you go from that location, like other zone for example, the price goes up.
If all borders would be opened and world converted to open world to allow g
free travel, they could change set crafting to only have one area for each set, then add more sets. This way you could make a set near Auridon, take a ship to Windhelm for example and post that otem there for a good price. If buyer wants that set cheaper, he or she needs to travel to Auridon to either craft it themselves or buy from trading post.
Each tradepost is separate entity, not networked to any other tradepost or guild store.
Trading posts could be made in the way that they can only hold crafted item, not crafting materials. Crafting materials and anything else would be exclusive to guild store and traders naturally can sell anything BUT you can "send a caravan" to distant trader to sell that set made in Auridon FROM Auridons bank/guild store. There would just be a menu to select a guild trader you want to use to sell that item and perphaps sell a bit cheaper from trader near Windhelm that Trading post in Windhelm.
Guild traders should get a limit of some sort to set how much they can hold to keep trading posts in competition.
