keep beating this horse until they implement them. I mean ffs they made a trailer featuring some of the most badass capes I've ever seen.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MySC13H_2cE
Are cloaks lore friendly? I don't recall there being cloaks in any TES game before...

Here i bring to all of you a very good idea (if not already posted), the capes are very much important in a mmorpg game, especially if we are talking about the elder scrolls online, i personally think is a good idea, the cape also will bring its own statistics, here i leave a picture edited by me as a sample and example

Well, there WERE capes present in the Official Gameplay Trailer, shown in the below screenshots:

So it's not like ZoS disregarded it, they perhaps implemented it at first but got feedback that players didn't like it, or the capes were too faulty or may even be planned to come out in future content. I would say not to ignore the capes for the time being and wait for/if a ZoS employee talks about it in the future.
They have already said no to cloaks/capes because rendering them in PvP would cause serious performance issues. I don't see why they can't implement some kind of cape culling when X number of people are in an area or something but that's their story and they're sticking to it.
Feel free to continue with your horse beating.
