I play a DK and The most effective abilities I've seen that a sorc uses on me is. Mages wrath, Vicious curse and streak. Dragons blood heals a DK for 33% of missing health so be aware that they are going to wait till it is most effective to use it. when they are low streak though them then use mages wrath to finish. Trust me we are very killable if you know what your doing. But, if you plan to stand toe to toe with the best tank class in game you will most likely lose.

I knew this was going to be about DKs before I even clicked.
I swear, at least twice a week there is a post similar to this one.

I believe impulse pulsar is what you want, it is unblockable damage. Drops dots like crazy on the dk because most dont have purge and those that do, have the 800 cost one. Only a tiny amount of Dk's have the ability to cast a low cost purge. That is how you do it. Also explode your pets on them and use soulstrike...they cant reflect that. Encase to challenge their talons and Daedric mines or volcanic rune to make them pay for charging you.

Good sorcs put this all together and make it happen in 2-3 seconds.

Impulse/pulsar is a low cost/low damage aoe spell. It's only good because it hits several targets. Why anyone would use it in a 1 vs 1 against a DK is beyond me.
Because impulse is unblockable. If the DK is blocking, that means he mitigates 2/3 of the damage that he would normally take. So against a single target that is blocking, impulse does more damage than even crystal fragments.

Moreover, impulse is unreflectable. So if the DK has scales up, you can't use fragments against him.

Impulse low damage? No, it hits pretty hard.

Also, the fire ring morph (which is preferred for sorcs) has a DOT.

The reason you use the morph of daedric mines that gives you 5 instead of instacast is that it gives you a radius of protection... Dk's have no real ranged spells, and i've never seen one try to use crushing shock, so if you have this defense of mines around you, they tend to become very confused, because they can't attack you without triggering the mines, but you can still attack them.

If they do decide to use invasion and risk the daedric mines, you counter that with encase. If you're quick enough, it stops them in their tracks. If you're not, they still hit your mines and become cc'd anyway.

in PvP, the name of the game is stamina, not health. If you're out of stamina, you can't block or dodge and then you're dead.

If you drop their stamina to zero then cast rune prison, they can't break the cc until their stamina regens or the 20 seconds is up. This gives you a chance to set up a really good burst.

if you cast a daedric mines and volcanic rune around them when they're stunned like this, then a curse followed by a crystal shard and endless fury spam, all the abilities will proc at once and its usually an instadeath

Cool, Ill try this tonight. Maybe it works until Zenimax give the poor DK:s Skill:Kick mine back to caster. Your finish move with shard wont it reflect?

I only use the shard if I get an insta cast and they're cc'd by steak or something like that. You have to make sure that the red/orange glow that indicates reflective scales is still up is not there though, or if you have a buff tracker like FTC you can check to make sure they're haven't used reflect within the last 4 seconds
