Well this is about as pathetic as it gets. Still clueless as to how one simple Bind on Acquire to Forward Camps can't be applied. It is times like this when it further convinces me we are paying a subscription to one weak and clueless MMO company. I love ESO but seriously Zos - make FCs Bind on Acquire as there is NO REASON they shouldn't be.

I saw this same advert in Thornblade NA zone chat yesterday while we were at max camps and being trolled by a well known troll camper. Among other changes, I completely agree that camps need to be bound on pickup and griefers need to be IP banned when there is overwhelming evidence to support such a response.

The sad thing here is that ZOS is completely aware of the problem and they have chosen to do very, very little in response to their customers requests. It's this kind of arrogance and audacity that is pushing the customers to the edge. I'm sure they're trying but this is getting crazy.

Well we still have 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 coming. Who knows, maybe ZOS will see that it is better to restrict the use of camps to Rank 6+ Players, instead of the buy out.

Or, well...just delete them from Game.

The wording in the patch notes is rank 6 to buy camps. Not to place camps. I keep hoping that the wording is incorrect as it often is.

Although, maybe a step in the right direction, Rank 6 can be earned over the course of a few hours of good long keep defenses or resource defenses. The most infamous pathetic Argonean NB AD fail*&#@ troll camper will just spend a little more time parked at keeps while under siege to rank up and then go on a shopping spree at the ESO Bazaar. I'm sure most pathetic dedicated troll campers will be quick to compensate for this meager change in the "mechanics". Kind of a joke when you think about it - almost insulting that they think this Rank 6 change is going to solve things. Makes you wonder are they really listening to and taking seriously the player complaints in Cyrodiil, my magic eight-ball just told me "It is unlikely".

FOR THE LOVE OF TAMRIEL MAKE THEM BIND ON ACQUIRE / PICK-UP.

The silence of Zeni is inspiring people to try these dirty tricks. Even a hidden threat of bannable actions would prevent many from trying. It feels like Cyro is left open for all cheaters. Just do it, see if anything happens and go on!

No doubt some people enjoy of their momentarily fame. Hell there must be people cheering at these tricky tricks. Just like in normal life.

The person that has been troll camping us, along with harassing people in zone chat and on the forums, has been at this for quite some time. As in months. I think it's apparent that time is not a factor in his decision to grief people. If these people have been doing this for months, what makes ZOS think they won't spend a couple days getting to rank 6 so they can continue doing it?

Bind on pickup would kinda suck for guilds. It's nice to have a few people designated for camp duty, but allow everyone to contribute camps.

Minimum VR level to use is the way to go.

There is still no rhyme or reason that they are not Bind on Acquire / Pick-Up other than another failure to anticipate potential issues in-game by ZoS. Any organized PvP guild can take steps to ensure someone is placed on "camp duty" that can drop enough camps. Lets face it once the camp goes down at a siege the players often converge on the location and more camps will be dropped by others.

Too often it seems like ZoS seems to give us players the benefit of the doubt, which can be a good thing but more often than not we all pay for their inability to anticipate player behavior and compensate for this behavior in a timely manner. Honestly I think this is why we see a very weak EULA that is paralyzed to thwart heinous player behaviors because the EULA is loaded with grey area. They seem to treat everything from player behavior to balance issues to class issues to loot and dungeons with kid gloves. I'd like to, for once, see them put the foot down like they did with the plague of gold sellers we saw at launch.

Bind on acquire/pick up ends up hurting the faction for people who are holding a camp location, but don't have any more AP. We had a siege that lasted over an hour, and an individual went through 55 camps, most of which were sent to her. Without her, that siege was lost.

Bind on pickup only hurts the faction. And PVP rank 6 only delays what is coming.

It's PvP rank 6 not Veteran rank 6.

IE you had to have had accumulated enoug Alliance Points (or however you gain rank through PvP) for 6 promotions.

Vet Rank 6 would do nothing, there's plenty of @sshats that are V6 and above.

As aware as I am that this isn't going to solve the 'Troll Campers', I seriously have reservations about removing them from the game as it will change the way battles are lost and won. It will change the way sieges work and will make things very hard.

There has to be a decent middle way. While I can see that BOA might solve it, it will stop us sending camps to someone to place them in the middle of a battle. Though, this is not as drastic as removing them altogether.

So if Bind on Pick-Up / Acquire is going to hurt the alliances, as some think they will, then what we have might be a stalemate and perhaps this is why ZoS has yet to come up with a better mechanic for them in Cyrodiil. Not making excuses for them as they should have thought this COMPLETELY through before they even implemented them in Cyrodiil but clearly it is not as cut and dry as we think. Had these been BoP / BoA from the start we wouldn't know the difference but this could be said of many things in life

Personally I still feel BoP / BoA is a very doable solution that would require the least amount of serious developer time to make happen. The alliances can compensate for this in my honest opinion and surely it is better than what we have now, which is just pathetic. I understand we all try and help out others who have sunk millions of AP into keeping camps up, hell I mailed some to an alliance member last night after hearing how much the player spent keeping an FC up for the pugs who never seem to bother with helping out with FCs

The Rank 6 requirement they have in the works seems almost like an insult to the players but I think it is the "kid glove" approach ZoS seems to take with many things. They try to fix issues with small Band-Aids because they are so hesitant to put the foot down and do what needs to be done. We all know Rank 6 takes very little time to attain. But if ZoS raises it higher would that truly solve the issue? Yes troll camps will disappear for a while but soon, if the player is persistent, they would return and most likely with a vengeance.

Rant over but I'm still not convinced BoA / BoP isn't a viable solution but I will admit I come from other MMOs where many items, especially those bartered for with player earned currency like AP, are always bound to that player.

Up on buying a Forward Camp from the NPC's, they should be Bound. That will fix the issues. Bound items can't be traded or sold.

If you start PvP at level 10 you should be able to hit it by the time you're level 15, and probably before.

yea thats why I was assuming it was atleast a vet rank. Make the people who want to troll camp actually have to run most of the content .

There's still one tiny light at the end of the tunnel. If you recall, ZOS stated at the guild summit that if their changes to FCs don't work, they're fully prepared to remove them from the game entirely. So we can hope that when this change fails, they follow through? Am I grasping at straws?

This should never be implemented as

1. It punishes the non-trolling non-cheating player base hard (see comments made by others above)

2. It creates a loophole in account selling because you tie something to a specific rank you've to gain in game. And the higher you push that rank up the more valuable those black-market accounts are going to be worth.

3. This doesn't resolve the main problem that's troll Forward Camps.

If someone wants to get some gold by selling some FC's, so be it. It's the same as peeps selling potions, equipment, whatever. Someone selling FC's still needs to earn his/her AP's in Cyrodill one way or another.

Scrap and back to the drawing table ZoS on this one.

I can't even believe we are using the sale of player accounts as a means to argue against changes in Cyrodiil - SERIOSULY

This is so far removed from the issue at hand to be honest and in that case then none of us should bother maxing out traits on crafting or completing hard to attain achievements because this will most certainly drive up black market account values. Accounts will be sold regardless of changes in Cyrodiil and this one is so minute I HIGHLY doubt the ESO account black market will be clamoring for accounts to sell.
