people we all have probably 2 or 3 common goals in cyrodiil. 1-Win the campaign, 2-get *** tons of AP and possibly 3 buffs for pve contents for those that pve. When one is in the lead or in clear danger of getting there everyone will be and should be against them. its math. a good example would be AD fighting DC on the last keep needed for emp. WE(ep) of course will want to move in and kill AD to stop them from getting emp with a major focus on AD. we could care less was dc is doing as long as AD doesn't get the keep and emp that's all that matters. but THAT would look like were teaming up right?!?

It depends on what time of the day/night you play, what servers, and what campaign. When I play, I see Red and Blue teaming up against Yellow most of the time.

It doesn't bother me. If they are not in my alliance, I try to kill them.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Totally AWESOME !! AD was the faction that FAR outweighed the other 2 since the game began. MANY people specifically rolled AD to dominate PVP by numbers. so the other 2 gang up on you. I love it !!!

So who said you get to make the decisions or that your input is something that we should all be seeking? If you weren't involved in the deal then so what? The two were attacking a common enemy. This is something that you can see throughout history and even within the EP, itself (and it's even referenced by the Dunmer you encounter in quests who refer to it as an, "unnatural pact," and other such things).

The only rules that were put down by ZOS were that you can choose to attack members of the other two factions. Nowhere did they say, "you can't forge temporary alliances."

If you don't like it, come back later or guest into one of the other campaigns where the teaming happens against a different group-- oh wait, you'll probably be mad they didn't ask for your opinion there, too.

Even being an AD player i have no issues with this.

Just like i have no issues with having 10 times more player to cap everything , atking at night , using ubber builds ...

It is a free for all PvP , that is what makes it fun the first place.

If both the other factions are too weak to win alone , then sure , they should do something together instead of always losing.

I think forming a temporary alliance ("the enemy of my enemy is my friend") is a perfectly legitimate response to our (AD) proportionally greater numbers. If it means more better fights, then bring it! That's the point isn't it... to have fun?

My only complaint is I don't think the collaboration is in depth enough.

Why can't something be implemented where power ranger/voltron style I get to merge with my pact counterpart(13/f/tx Breton templar looking for older male pact templar  ) and become a purple healing and blazing shielding machine.

Essentially what I'm asking for is pacific rim style co-pilot symmetry in game. Though I'm going to apologize in advance for anyone who has to mind meld with me and see my early 20's.

To answer the OP - The enemy of my enemy is my friend. There are no rules in war, it is perfectly acceptable to make a temporary alliance with a lesser enemy to take out a more dangerous enemy. Happens in real life, should happen in the game.

The only reason that Pact and Covenant team up on Haderus (On occasion) is when AD shows up with 3x the combined population of blue and red. Then we coordinate our attacks to kind of equalize the play field. Once the play field resets, Blue and red go back to fighting eachother until AD zergs in again. It's as simple as that.

Well that was rather short lived, frankly I'm dissapointed.
    http://esostats.com/na/

Let me clarify that a bit before I'm accused of making a snide remark. I'm one of those people that refuses to even bother to queue up for Thornblade. I've never even been on Thornblade. I was hoping there would be another campaign or two where there is some "gud fights".

I can't believe you don't get the point of 3 realm wars. It's out and out war and sides will (side) with each other to down the most hated enemy.
Get used to it, that's what war is all about, for real and in a game.

I've got plenty of friends who are DC, and I regularly fight a good bunch of blues that I respect.

But if it's read, it's DEAD!

As for the purple alliance, I couldn't give a fat rats left knacker. If you aren't AD you will be in my sights.

Considering the entire point of the Pact is that they're fighting against a common enemy that's a greater threat to them than their individual issues, is it really so crazy that the real world players would band together, across factions, to do the same once in a while?

Agreed. This just blows me away when I see people get all bent about it. IT IS A WAR SIM. In war, you do what is strategically sound for your side, you don't have to promise to distribute your hostility equally among every enemy. It doesn't work that way. Some folks get so fired up about the Green Team or the Orange Team, blah blah blah.

    Get over it.

You are required to follow your sides rules of engagement.

And who gave you, me, anybody the right to decide what those rules are, or, what is strategically sound for every other player in the faction? I don't recall being consulted. It sounds to me like they are only doing what is good for them. It isn't a WAR SIM, it is an online role playing game that requires co-operative teamwork to achieve a designated outcome

What rules of engagement? Did you write those? Because there is a word for that sort of self-imposed "meta-rule" making and self gimping:

    http://www.sirlin.net/articles/playing-to-win

The word might apply to you.

And the various groups and guilds out there don't owe it to you to consult you. They are "Playing the way they want" (TM). So if you want to attack Blue while the whole guild next to you is is leveraging their war with Yellow to attack Yellow...do it. And die. Nobody can stop you from going off half-cocked like a true muppet and charging into a swarm of DC during a battle with the AD.

    Enjoy.

Of course, if you want more people to see it your way, form a guild that doesn't suck and then you get to make the calls. Until then, you are quite correct...nobody asked you.
