Is it just me or is Cyrodiil incredibly boring??

I don't find Cyrodiil boring, just frustrating at times from the technical issues it often has. It's the only place in ESO that truly feels open world/sandbox like to me.

The PvP aspects of it tend to offer more dynamic and ever changing gameplay. I like to mix it up ever time I go in there but I could see where if you did the same thing every time you played (zerg'n) it would get boring.

I hear what you are saying, but I'm not finding all that many fresh ways to mix it up in there.

Zerging is really not an option for me, mainly due to the technical problems that come with it.

Ganking people with my friends is fun for a while, but I often find myself spending more time avoiding the zergfest than actually being involved in good fights. I do spend a lot of time riding my horse...

I think that my main problem with the gameplay itself is that there are no small objectives that feel meaningful. Actually, nothing really feels like it matters to me in Cyrodiil. Taking a keep for the 100th time is not exciting, really, and it's incredibly laggy if there is any sizable defense. Small skirmishes are the best, but it is very hard to find them sometimes because almost everyone is zerging it up and the only ones that aren't are doing the same thing as us, i.e. staying stealthed and trying to get the drop on people.

So I would say that for a typical hour that I spend in Cyrodiil:

    - 10 minutes of it is spent riding my horse to get (back) to a fight
    - 30 minutes is spent staying stealthed and trying to avoid the large swarms of players
    - 10 minutes is spent relogging because of bugged postern doors, the inability to use abilities/switch weapons, or recovering from client crashes
    - 10 minutes is spent actually fighting

Not a very economical use of time, is it...

Even so, those 10 minutes of true fighting are usually very fun, I admit. But the crashing and lag are ultimately killing whatever pleasure I get out of it, so I think I am just gonna work on achievements, fishing, and other PvE stuff until Imperial City comes out, then reassess. If it still sucks then I'll have to make the tough decision of whether to stick around just for the PvE experience or unsubscribe.

Unfortunately I have agree with the OP. I love the PvE but PvP is a dry, rinse-and-repeat experience. There is good potential, though, and I would love to see ESO introduce some large-scale changes in the future, such as castle/siege/objective changes (which, in my opinion, would greatly enhance Cyrodiil).
