Yes, they should turn up the gore.
it should atleast be on par with past TES games especially with the M rating, they have a form of executions when you massively overkill and enemy with some spells youll get an effect like combust freeze or disnergrate.
so they could easily add some melee executions, quick decapitate or impales or sliced in half lol. dont need tons of blood and gore but a realistic amount along with some realistic finishers when you overkill a [PVE] npc would be awesome!
i dont they can add any more flash to cyrodil performance comes first.

If I critically strike an already injured opponent and finish them off using a diseased weapon, they pretty much scream, sizzle and melt into a green/yellow puddle. That's pretty hardcore considering the rest of the game's take on blood and gore. The bar has already been set.

So yeah, a bit more of the visceral combat would be fine by me - bullet-time executions were also done in AoC to great effect and i'm down with that too.

I would prefer a bit more blood and gore myself. But moderation is key. I don't want to, say, float down a river of blood from the insides of children. That's a bit too much. But actually seeing cuts and bruises from my own attacks? Yeah.

And also, it should be toggleable. I understand that some people cannot take the sight of blood that well and that is completely fine.

Nothing screams immersion more than chopping someone with a 2h sword and not seeing a drop of blood. oh wait....

    No, they should not because...
I think it's fine as is unless they decide to go crazy and add in kill cams... at which point they could add in more gore for that.

As a side note, unless it's changed since beta, if you go in to first person and kill things you do see a lot more blood spray.

i vote yes to gore cuz well? i ate a rare steak at a restaurant and when i dragged a sharp cutting object across it the most amazing thing happened it cut and the juices leaked out... sooo when i drag a 6ft sword across a lightly armored bandit/cultist/peasant etc i kind of expect to see some juices. and also those complaining about no gore remember after feeding a vampire is slathered in blood all over. and a were wolf flings blood all over when they eat a body.... so just apply the bloody affects to melee hits and kills and its not that hard a thing to do..

I've votted no, but I do not really care. ESO is a mature game, I do not mind blood, but I do not need it either.

I would like to see a special set of death animations for each weapon attack...perhaps the recipient being cleaved in half if you kill when cleaving.
Or simply char into black ash and drift away in the wind with a fireball.

More to enhance the reality of the combat than the gratuitous violence aspect.

I would have voted yes if it was toggleable, but ZOS seems to be very lazy forcing people to use an addon to the game for junk they don't want to see (ie:notifications)
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

No. I don't know why this needs an explanation however: this feels like something someone would say if they fell into the category of people expecting ESO to be Skyrim Online. Skyrim had some great content related to fighting but it was consistent with the aesthetic choices of the developer. Adding more content related specifically to gore, in ESO, I think would skew the aesthetics of the game.

It's all about the drama. I don't even care if I wipe and get my head cut off! You kiddin' me?! Its the whole reason I started playing. Sure its gratuitous but then again so is the entire game! Either add the gore or we can all sit down and enjoy a nice quiet game of chess and have tea and pie. This game is about entertainment and not just any form of entertainment, authentic hard-core medeival battle entertainment. Go with it or sign up for Hello Kitty.

Doesn't make any difference to me. I don't think it adds to the game, nor does it's absence.

Somebody made a comment about finishing moves on bosses that sounded cool though - person with the killing blow would have a small cinematic-esque sequence play based on the weapon type that everybody could watch. Id much prefer that than generic blood spatter.

I'd just want decals. Blood, burn marks etc. textures that appear on characters and surfaces (walls, floor) during battles.

    I wouldn't mind realistic gore.

I hate it when a huge wave of blood flies up from an opponent with every hit of my weapon, though...

I don't care really but I would not be opposed to more graphic content being added in.

More gore options are the way to go imo. It's a preference.

Really don't see the reason for a "mature" rating as is. There is no nudity, no intense language and no gore so... WTH?
