How to kill a dragon knight

For this you need a well balanced group.
4 tanks with shield and heavy armour. They need to position around the DK. Each tank need 2 dedicated healers each that stand almost in maximum range from the tanks. Use 2 or 3 NB for DPS and then 5 archers and 4 mages that stand on maximum range. Mages need to rotate dps and regen (for them selves and the archers). Use a *** of pots, mana health, spelldamage.. anything you can think of.

After 3 or 4 minutes when the DK health moves under 30% everyone needs to start interrupt the DK to disrupt healing. For the execute phase keep interrupting with the tanks, sorcerers needs to set up ballistas and catapults while NB go Full dps.

If the gods favor you you might bring him down otherwise one of you need to sneak away and set up a forward camp because it will be a full whipe.

You can also try to coordinate with some other raidgroups and if you are 2-3 groups victory is easy. Have one group go full dps as a slight distraction while the other group bombard the DK with ballistas and trebuchets. Third group interrupt and save mana for the execute phase.

Today we were a small group of 12 that got charged by a dk. We were very lucky because after killing 5 of us he must have lost connection so we could finally bring him down.

So if you have two DK's fighting each other... do they just keep going until one of them drops from shear exhaustion?

I ask because I'm just wondering why you don't just have a DK on your own team with maybe a pocket healer. Then the rest of you could sit back with popcorn chillin' and watching the fight.

Wow. i'm a DK and you just have to sneeze on me and I drop dead, lol i've got to be doing a lot wrong.
But I have heard of one that can wipe out a dozen people in like 30 seconds.
Sadly, it's not me and never will be.

There are no such things as NB's in pvp. That shadow you saw a minute ago was a squirrel.

I have zero problem ambushing DK's, but it's the head on fights that get ya. Dk healing isn't fast enough to take 3 or 4 full on ranged attacks though. Templars on the other hand.....

Glass cannon NB's are troll builds made to 1-3 shot unsuspecting players in one sided battles.

When these builds get caught out in the open 1v1 they get destroyed.

Tat said, something needs to be done about DK's. 4/5 people I attack sprout flappy bird wings and kill people holding block like its their only purpose in life. seemingly taking almost no damage. And healing themselves like a templar on top of dishing out crash damage. They have the best of all worlds.

Honestly they just nee to buff up the other classes so the dk is no longer zeni's master race. but then again the skellies on ad would be screwed then!

No thats when he disco. Otherwise you need about 24-72 people (1-3 raidgroups).

Sometime we invite a DK to our raid, when its dinnertime and we dont want to lose pace, when we get back from dinner noone noticed we werent there because the DK kept killing everything for us.

We were attacking a keep and out comes a single DK that charge us so we were not off guard. It was a PUG so I dunno bout the others but Im atleast a decent PvP:er (not the best but not the worst either). I have never seen another class singlehanded take on a group of ten-twelve people unless they wanted to suicide, just the thing that he took on such a big group says something about the class. He was good I give him that and he must have been dressed in yellow because my SD is 129 unbuffed and my WD is a bit over the softcap when using surge and I was spamming crushing shock and crystalshard on proc on him while he was killing off my friends and his health were between 70-100% for god know how long. I did kill him in the end but then he already killed half our group.

Learn to play? Lightweaving and crushing shock is one of the best DPS a sorc can do, if he survives for 2-3 minutes when attacked like that it´s a tad...overpowered.

If you are fighting in a fair fight, you're not fighting correctly. Learn from Genghis Khan. You fight to kill, not get mad and walk away. (Though if you are married and hope to stay that way, you will do the latter frequently.) Even in simulated war, it's a stupid idea to confront an enemy with fair odds.

Dk's have the deck overwhelmingly stacked in their favor. It's a fact. They can heal themselves with any ultimate, and immediately follow up with another heal and heavy single damage if they manage to land a stun or immobilize you. The only real weakness in the class skills is ranged combat and they laugh at that with Obsidian Shield and Reflective Scales. Knocking them down is practically the only way to beat them horrifically, and they'll just use Green Dragon Blood for that. Unless you approach them at least 3 to 1 at range, you're at a serious disadvantage. Doesn't mean it's impossible, but they very clearly have the odds in their favor.

I used to feel the same way about DK's. Playing as a sorcerer, as soon as I became 1v1 I used to just streak away as I knew it wouldn't be a fair fight. Last couple of months I've learnt a few things about the sorc class and can sometimes 1v1 and kill DK's except for the very good players of course. It does take skill to beat one and regardless of what anybody will say, the DK is the class with the highest survivabilty.
A combo of defensive stance(sword and shield to reflect your fragments back through the DK's wings)/fragments/curse/prison/endless fury/streak is enough to take them out..

With the annulment change though, it will be a lot harder to take one down since flame lash is physical damage.. No more standing in talons to get magicka back in fear of being whipped to death. IMHO sorcerer and DK's are the easier classes to play, NB is the most difficult and requires a lot of skill to master.

DK abilities by themselves don't do much dps. What was he using to deal damage?

I'm a Templar, let the DragonKnight come, i'll make dust out of him.

You know, the game has a lot of skills, morphs and sets. Not only this but you can spend stamina in a great wing of options. Some builds are ment to Solo, others are ment to team up. Probably building up a decent Soloer DK is something easy. Not like templar is hard. Sorcerer might be a little more tricky not to talk about Nightblades.

Many PvP players dont have a solo build AND gear on them. Some think they do but they're not so good.

Stamina build migt need an improvement but it is not that bad, Update 5 will Balance this issue.

Generally speaking they don't have to. They can just outlast you. They don't inflict a lot of damage but they have a lot of aoe DoTs. If you add their self healing with said abilities they're almost indestructible over longer periods of time.
