Make sure you're running in true fullscreen (windowed fullscreen doesn't work).I can't get Shadowplay to work. I assigned hotkeys, got it turned on, and when in-game, i hit the hotkey, nothing happens... no video recorded... nothing.
Shadowplay is the best one performance-wise by far. You get high quality video and barely drop a frame. Like said above, you don't even have to start the recording before the fight, you can just save the last couple of minutes whenever you had a good fight.
"Damn, that was a good fight" > press save > done, not even a lag
It does require a somewhat new Nvidia card though (600 series or newer I think).Make sure you're running in true fullscreen (windowed fullscreen doesn't work).I can't get Shadowplay to work. OBS is the best free one I've come across. But the best you can do is bind a key to start and stop recording.
Shadowplay is awesome in that you can retroactively record what has happened.
And if you want footage of that mass dragon leap, I believe one of my Guildies recorded it.

Just got a 970 and trying out shadowplay but it's weird. It wants to only record while aero theme in windows is activated. Though when i record with that I get a fps stuttering but my fps is at like 80, which would be the same without recording as well. Possibly the fix of the stutter is disabling the aero but then as I said it won't record...QQ.
Also only wants to record in 'Allow desktop recording' way and not ingame so less quality
DXtory is fine for me to record but I always forget to start it before a fight... why I want to get shadowplay to work.
Biggest issue for Shadowplay to not work is you have Fullscreen (Windowed) selected.I can't get Shadowplay to work. I assigned hotkeys, got it turned on, and when in-game, i hit the hotkey, nothing happens... no video recorded... nothing.
maybe i should install another game first.... hmm....
GTX 970 here with Win 8.1 64-bit btw...

It will not record unless Fullscreen (only this option) is selected.

That's not true. I play the game in Fullscreen (Windowed) due to my monitor setup and it records with desktop capture enabled.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's not true. Rather, only true if you enable desktop capture - which a lot don't do.
Thanks for the info nonetheless.
