The Justice System Revealed

I still believe that the Justice System should come with a Duel system implemented.

players can flag themselves so they're open for duels. If someone accept a duel, you get teleported to a Daedric realm, where you won't bother any other players.

Also, when grouped up, you have the option to do a 2vs2, 3vs3 and so on.

I agree the timing seems right to also give us dueling. I'd say limiting it to not be permitted inside cities would be enough though, there's enough loading screens already.

Sounds cool but as always in the end it will not work as intended. Cities will become war zones with all npc dead, outlaws with OP stuff and build not even hiding and killing everyone, etc ...

Not all NPCs will be killable, none of the relevant ones will be. A recent poll shows outlaws and enforcers will probably be evenly matched. It's fair to assume that their equipment level will also be.

Also, I'd expect intetest to drop rapidly within the first few weeks, so cities will probably not resemble warzones for long.

    Doomsday will have to wait.

I'll be the first to complain on the forums about this...... the rewards will not be worth doing. Either stealing or collecting bounties. Seeing how all other reward system that has been impemented. Like finishing caldwells gold. I was like wtf.... all that work for ........ this? Arena..... etc.... So I really hope the rewards will be worth it for people to do this. Fingers crossed

Sounds like it could be neat. I hope people don't participate in it if they can't emotionally handle it. I'm really not looking forward to hate tells from enforcers who tried to kill me but couldn't.

Hm, the coin have two Sides. You hope that the People can emotionally handle it, if they can`t "kill" you. And i think the People hope, that you can handle it emotionally, if they hunt you down like a Prey.

You see, the Show Begins. Which Thief is the smartest and which Enforcer the hardest, funny. I like it.

I hope they work for a better System of Reward, for all the Dungeons and Stuff like Arena, Justice System(?). The Player needs the Motivation, that he can reach an interesting Reward :) .

The rewards are doing an enjoyable activity in a game you like. Why does it always come back to loot?

People used to enjoy games just because the content was a joy to do.

The crafting system in this game is so robust, that loot can never be the rewards that a lot of people seem so desperate to get.

As long as the source is cited and there isn't an official thread on the topic already, I don't see the problem with sharing such info on the official forums.

Exactly. Hardly our fault if Zenimax can't be bothered to keep us updated with such info !

Interesting, you think you do it for the Way and not for the Target, that is funny.
The Reward is what People want to see for themselves and to get a Reward is a big Part in real Life too. Not only Loot, its a Mechanic.

The whole Thing in Life is build around to get Rewards, for an easy "Thank you" or a good Feeling. You invest Time to have JOY, so this is the Reward you want to have. Why you complain about other Rewards, the Life is full of this and we want to see this Things in every Second of our Life.

Your Reward is the Joy to play, and others like to hunt Treasures thats their Joy, how can you say that your Reward is the true, the only right One?

A Reward System is important, look at Games like Diablo, at the Start it was very Entertaining to get Items, collect more and more. This Game is all about LOOT, sure the Story and Skills are fine too, but Diablo without Rewards or Gold, it will never be happen.

Other Games like Torchlight copies this. It starts the Treasure Hunter in us, the Indiana Jones. And you are an Indiana Jones too but complain over Loot, oh my dear if Indiana could see this.

You mean Loot are not important, i think the Dungeons would be more often used if the Rewards are better. And Zenimax works on a new Reward System, because A LOT OF People WANTS it. So, you see the People think some good LOOT and REWARD at the End of the Game is important.

The Crafting System should be the Number One, sure. But you can offer other Loot like a random Chance% for Skyshards or epic and legendary Mats too, for an Example.

If you mean the "Joy" is the only Thing that you need, throw away your Loot at the End of the Day and say to yourself:*Rewards pah, i doesn`t need them, i play for the Joy only.

We both know, you don`t want to do this, because you like Loot too. Maybe you would do this once to Show you can withstand but then you will collect and hunt all the fine little Loot outthere, like Indiana Jones couldn`t do it better :D .

Don`t raise the Finger and Point at other Persons, point to your Nose, and know this:* We are all al little bit like Indiana Jones, we like to hunt the Loot, the Reason why is personally but we all do it.

You accuse me of making assumption about other peoples motivations, then claim that I do it for the loot also? Mind blown! I had not realised that I was doing it for the loot, thank you for clarifying that for me.

It sounds very cool. As long as it isn't possible to grief.

It is a known fact that if something CAN be exploited and abused to grief other players.....then those that get off on doing so will find it and abuse it over and over and over again.

I can see this "Justice System" going down that dark path very quickly, and remain 100% against it being put into the game in any form or iteration.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

This is just pessimistic. If players choose not to participate, they won't be grieved. Dunno how you can predict grieving with any certainty.

I've seen it happen in MMO after MMO. Content is released that is "grief proof" so to speak....and within hours, players have figured out SOME way to use it to annoy another player. It'll happen with this, guaranteed.

For the record, I'm neither pessimistic nor optimistic. I'm a realist.

Funny. I've played a LOT of computer games, both on and offline, and I've never ever gotten a reward for doing so. Even playing ESO I have yet to see something show up at my house for playing it. I play games for the experience of playing them. "loot" may or may not be part of that. Pretty sure that, with the exception of professional cyberathletes, the same is true of pretty much everybody.

In this unidirectional game of capture the flag, the Outlaw's goal is to return the flags to base. They don't seem to get anything for fighting enforcers.

Actually, you are being pessimistic. The structure has been outlined to demonstrate that it's being built to prevent griefing. Quest relevant NPCs are immune, as well bankers/merchants are immune, etc.. What's left to grief other players? There's really nothing left.

One thing I AM concerned about are towns (which already have much lower fps than open world areas) becoming like Cyrodiil with massive fps drops and associated disconnects and whatnot from all the combat going on, assuming this system stays popular.

Strange, in every MMO that I've played where this did occur, steps were taken swiftly to curb that behavior and then it was no longer an issue.

If you were truly a realist, you would probably take that into account also.

As for the tabard, maybe they could instead hilight Enforcers with a golden glow or something like that, allowing us to continue to wear our guild tabards.
    Yeah, that would be better.
