Do you help test new content on the PTS?

Not an Altoholic but I have several characters and not enough time to level them all. So far I haven't dragged anyone past the Sancre Tor Quest.

If I do eventually get the characters I really like up past the end of the last factional regions and into Coldharbour, then one of those into Cyrodiil then I might have a looksee at the PTS.

I couldn't figure out how to get on the test server. That and no motive to do so sense the last 6 updates besides fixes had no content I was even interested in seeing much less playing as I don't do group content or pvp.

Then why do you play a MULTIPLAYER game?

    I've never used the PTS.
For those that feel like there isn't enough incentive to hop on the PTS and test some of the future content, what are some things that would motivate you to do so?

Since you can only play one instance at any given time, offset the time spent testing in PTS on your subscription (i.e. 1 day in PTS merits an additional day on your subscription).
    PC NA

Games are meant to be played.

Back in Auriel's Bow 1.0, I have thought that the best way to handicap a faction with the HUGE pop advantage is to temporarily disable their grouping functionality and their ability to fight in 3rd person point of view! Let's see if these do not even up the odds.

I occasionally test new content, or I have in the past.

Some folks like to roleplay, craft, trade and/or hang out with their friends. That doesn't even require group gameplay. This game launched with a ton of solo content to entertain solo players as well and more is coming down the pipe.

With that said... Why do you bug him/her about disliking group content and PvP in a game that obviously caters to both solo and group play (However not recently)?

Then multiply that by 2 or greater.

I regularly test new content on the PTS.

I'd be happy to have the possibility to create premade character and copy my life character, and being able to level it to reach the content I need to test.
I'd be happy to be able to keep my characters from a test to another.

I know it might be hard to implement, but I think to have a PTS character you can get attached to, and see its progression could help players to come back to the PTS. It would feel like playing an alt rather than having the feel to "waste" your gaming time.

I enjoy to play the PTS, because I want to help and give feedback, because I find it fun, and because I'm making videos about it! ;)

Ya know, the only incentive,if one is needed at all, should be that we care enough about this game to give it our all. When we can,of course. We shouldnt need any rewards. There is reward enough in seeing that we're a part of the developement of an incredible game,..albiet one that has it's flaws. If someone doesnt want to do the testing because they dont think they are being bribed enough,..they shouldnt gripe if it doesnt get fixed quicker.
Personally,if I knew how to get into PTS,I would.I have tons of free time to play with.

Because its a multiplayer game not a multi group game.

At 90 gigs, I don't need another copy of this game on my HD.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

You're a part of the development but you're also being taken advantage of. You pay a box fee plus a sub. Testing their software should be in their budget. If they are going to double dip even further with a pay gated race like Imperial then I EXPECT them to be able to handle this appropriately by themselves. If the game was f2p or beta (lol I know) then I could understand your reasoning but it's not.

Relying on player testing is allowing favorable bugs to make their way to the live server.

I'd consider re-subbing to test on PTS if they devised a way (like every other game) where I didn't have to download the entire game again just to use PTS. 70Gb for the game is bad enough without having to take up another 70Gb+ just to use the test server.

I've tested content on the PTS before, but only once or twice.
Agree on that although it's 60 GB for both but still, you're right. One game that takes up 120 GB on my SSD that only has 256 GB space is a bit much.

I work 9hrs / day and don't know why I should give you my freetime for free, for work, that should be done by yourself.

Reward for testing on the PTS could be something like a random lootbag for your live account. One per day as long as you have been logged into the PTS for 30 mins or more.

As for the Paul Sage pet - well he would do what all the other pets do I assume - get in the way at the bank. A sorc had two critters summoned at the bank yesterday and I'll swear she was doing it intentionally so I could not click on Lady Zibeh - I want her jewellery by the way - want it bad.
