We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Disappointed in VR12-14 content

Don't get me wrong but I wonder why you grinded and flawed the experience for yourself in Craglorn instead of following the quest line and explore (like you did prior to Craglorn)? Or did I misunderstand something?

Following the quest line implies he actually finds a group to do it.
    It's usually not the case.

You can find multiple grind groups for different kinds of grind 24/7. To get *1* questing group you need to sweat blood.

Because a lot of people, including myself, don't have 4 people willing to do the quests with them - and it's impossible to find anyone on the same quest stage.
The only use I was able to get out of craglorn was a useful boss grinding place for the sake of the veteran rank system, which is being removed anyway.

There is really no reason to complete the craglorn content, and no way to complete it for (most?) many players.
I by far prefer the system in previous zones where there were solo quests, with occasional group content dotted throughout. I'd like to see future zones where we have solo content, with trials and dungeons also dotted throughout the area, and I think many would like the same.

I'd like pvp but my framerate drops awfully whenever there are too many people around me - which is surprising since I have a good comp + internet connection, and I get up to 70fps on my own (once got to 90 in a solo area :O)

tl;dr there's no way for many people to complete any craglorn content, furthermore there is no reason to go to such great lengths to complete craglorn content

I loved Dragonstar Arena (though I think Vet and rewards could use a little tweaking still). Craglorn itself is ok, I don't hate it or love it. In the overall picture of the game long term, I do like that there is this mix of content in different zones, but looking forward to some of the other new zones they mentioned at Quake.

PvP is the only thing to do. Craglorn is pretty boring.

I think we missed the Craglorn story when we fought against all the grouping problems. Group area in a game which kicks and screams against grouping was not a good combination. Like many others, i just went into a certain Hircine's cave, turned music with rocks on and brains off for a few hours.

There is a wave of solo players coming in. Maybe the Craglorn should be nerfed to soloable area, except trials and Arena. ZOS could meanwhile fix all the group issues. When the group playing actually works, they could make a new real group area after Wrothgar.

I got my sorc to V11, finishing all three faction's content, and loved every minute of it. I get to V11, go to Craglorn (finally) and discover it's an entirely different game.

Nearly everything requires a group to do. (unlike 95% of the content prior to Craglorn)

This person enjoyed the game they played pre Craglorn because it didn't require grouping. ZOS has already admitted this was a mistake.

Oh, right that part I never understood why people play MMOs to experience single player for the most part of the game. Thanks for clarifying.

So, why am I disappointed and probably leaving?

I'm sorry that you're no longer having fun. A good MMO is multifaceted and not every facet appeals to every player. If the solo facet is the only facet you enjoy and you have played it out then hopefully they will add more for solo players to do besides quests and outgearing/outleveling dungeons. To be fair though, having gotten 95% (as you put it) of the leveling/story experience the way you wanted it to be is a lot.

Would you mind linking that? I'm curious to read what they said. Thanks :)

    Sure, starts @ 22:20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0UUsPRdY5k

You can find more of the same here https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=paul+sage+veteran+levels

In case you don't have the patience to watch, I'll summarize. When the game first launched, difficulty scaled gradually from lvls 1-50, then dramatically increased at VR1. Many players who had soloed content for months found themselves struggling to overcome mundane enemies like Skeevers. Paul Sage, in a few interviews, admits it was an attempt to encourage grouping.

Three or four months after launch, ZOS announced the end of Veteran Ranks. Weeks later VR difficultly was adjusted. Lessened learned, forced grouping is a mistake. Optional or incentivised grouping is better.

Craglorn is a different story. It was developed to deliver the endgame group content ESO lacked at launch. Having said that, small group Craglorn quests could have been used to acclimate solo players, but ZOS bungled this badly too. Group questing is difficult because of phasing restrictions and the systems behind LFG automation are flawed.

ZOS has admitted to this mistake by planing an overhaul of the LFG tool and phasing system on quests.

Thank you for your feedback about end-game content, @Otani126. We wanted to let everyone know that we have edited the thread's title to reflect the feedback rather than emphasize your potential departure, as we think this could be a valuable conversation. We have also removed several comments to facilitate constructive discussion about end-game content. Thank you for your understanding!
@ZOS_TristanK‌ This was the most refreshing interjection of a moderator that I have ever seen. Instead of some generic violation message copied and pasted from your handbook, you took the time to correct the thread so that it complied and turned it into something productive. I would like to see more of this from the moderators on these forums.

@Otani126‌ It's clear that you were in an emotional state when you posted this, I too have had many such moments with this game. Thank you for continuing to discuss this topic in a rational manner and being receptive to what some of the community enjoys.

I honestly have the same problem, and it's a reason I haven't really tackled Craglorn. I can't find a group willing to do the content that's not A) speed runs or B) grind mobs. I'm not in a guild that does content runs (maybe that's my problem) because I'm in 4 trade guilds just to be able to trade.

Craglorn seems designed to encourage grinders -vs- people willing to do the content. But maybe that's just me.
