If you find your pockets empty and you wind up stuck, the /stuck command will still work! The prompt will say that it will subtract the gold from you, but even if you're at 0 gold it place you at the nearest wayshrine at no cost. Other things to clear up:
1. You won't go into negative gold
2. A collection agency will not come after you, legitimate, bandit gang, or otherwise
3. A ticket will not be needed, unless you would like to submit a /bug for the location where you're stuck.

Many agree with you, it's unacceptable to lose gold due to the developers' ineptitude at world building.

Not a perfect system, but allow a free reset, and it would completely invalidate the wayshrine fee.I can count to potato.

✭I guess the question should be "why the wayshrine fee?". If it costs you nothing to travel to a shrine from anywhere in he world by using a guild mate as your target, and if the fee is waived when you don't have the funds, then why charge anything in any situation?

@Grim13, no, insult to injury was when it 'fixed' you for free but damaged your armor in the process.
If you didn't /stuck naked, it ended up costing must more than 146 gold.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...
Earn it.

Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS1 -
