The key word is "if". Now we don't have an official statement from ZOS whether this was intended or accidental or if they nerf the drop. Getting ahead of yourself there mate.
Oh yeah, I'm a little ticked off. I just respected a V6 Templar for healing with the intent to grind her out to 14 (as if that isn't annoying enough) specifically for the 5/5 Seducer/Warlock build for grouping. If I have to pay 50k^ to get what someone else bought for significantly less or not even have the opportunity to receive it, that is a load of bs. "If" I were interested in PVP, It would be even worse pitting me against players that do have it, and/or were able to get it significantly cheaper.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!2 -

And no, i did not buy it... That is my questmoney for the last 300 quests
I might still have my VR1 Warlock Ring, it is just a bit lower in stats than the VR12 but you will get the 5 piece bonus this way. If your interested send me a PM in the game this evening.

✭I went out yesterday to farm "The Warlock Set" and I was particularly interested in the "Signet (Ring) of the Warlock" I started out in the public dungeon in my V1 sone and the robe dropped in the first kill. I thought to my self, this will be easy. A few hours later I had the Cowl, Shoulders, Robe x 2 Focus x 2 but no Ring. Am I just being unlucky? Or is this more seldom, or drop elsewhere then the rest of the set? Anyone else got the "Ring" lately?
...which public dungeon(s) can you farm the VR1 set? any of them or one in particular?
The public dungeon in the first zone of the first alliance you go to for Cadwell's silver. For me coming from DC that was in Auridion.
I went through the public dungeon a few times and I picked up multiple copies of the Focus, Robe, Cowl and Shoulders but no Signet of the Warlock. I ended up buying one from the only guild store I could find selling it. It was on sale for 13.5k for the VR1 version.

I found a VR1 Ring of the Warlock yesterday, while running through Stonefalls with my wife. So I can tell you they still drop. I think this is the second one I have found in a month with out trying. Been actively trying to find a Barbaric or Primal motif but no luck yet.
Sometimes you just get lucky, other times you spend hours and get nothing but corn mesh...2 -

The have gloves, belt, and boots now, at least in VR12 version.
Focus drops like candy at Halloween, Cowl and Robe slightly less often, Epaulets even less often.
Also, seems there is no VR2-VR11 version? Their way of trying to force you to switch it up?
I tend to think with the lack of rings and addition of other armor items they're trying to move it towards being an 'armor set' vice a combo set.
On a side note, I think two hander's (Two handed, Bow, and staff) should get an extra jewelry slot, even if the benefit is limited to armor/weapon enchant. Should have the same enchant/set options (quantity wise) as the dual wielders/S&B.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

I found a Primal and Barbaric motif right after (no more than12-15 container openings) I used a skill point on my clothier skill to increase it to the point where I could use those motifs.

Yep... me too! In my case, it was last week, though.
To all people looking for them, keep in mind that I think they have a greater chance to drop from mage-y type NPCs.
In Stonefalls, f. ex... I found one while killing the Daggerfall Covenant invaders near Kragenmoor, if I remember correctly.
But they're still are a very rare drop!

Could you comment on this, is it intended? If zenimax stops the supply of a item, the prices will skyrocket, funny for the people that have said item stocked, not for the rest of us that finally have quested to vr 12
This is what I was afraid of, I have continued farming the VR1 ring up until now but no luck, I see the other pieces for the VR12 set are announced for sale regularly, but never the ring. I bought the VR1 green rings for 4.5k and 5k, but from when I started this tread until now, I have never been able to loot one my self. Good to see I'm not alone on this issue and ZOS should give us an answer on this! If it's a rare drop I understand and except, but I now have a strong feeling something is wrong here.3 -

@Ipool96 .... There are other pieces for that set now. I just bought VR12 warlock boots a couple weeks ago and I believe I have seen the belt for sale as well. I was a happy camper when I discovered this.

You can farm the rings of any monster in the sones they drop, lvl15 - lvl20 sones and V1 and V12 sones. But what I have learned is that at last for me the drop where best in public dungeons. Except the rings though, never ever seen a drop, and I have tried hard to get them.2 -

Two posters above confirmed drops of the VR1 Signet of the Warlock within the last few weeks. Sounds like both drops occurred in the world in Stonefalls rather than in the public dungeon in the zone.

Both Rings has been droped by the Ghost Boss in this dungeon. (Might be just luck)5 -
