How many character slots do you use?

I like to explore the development of characters in different ways. I am not an Altoholic! ("Here, Alt-y, alt-y, alt-y, I'm not gonna hurt you, come get this sweeeeet roll")

I don't have time to play several characters, and I don't have time to grind up the gold to upgrade my bank, so each character is an extra 80 inventory slots for 2400 gold. Not how I want to play them, but with the sheer amount of crap I've got and don't want to get rid of... $:\$

EDIT: The biggest cash bottleneck for me right now is saving up for the AE motif. Once I have that, I can start pouring cash into the bank to get it to max, and start buying bags for characters I'm actually playing, but until then...

I usually decon stuff and sell it for money, I don't usually have issues with inventory slots between my pack and bank

It was mostly aesthetic. I am not a role player but I do like my characters to have some sort of personality. Didn't quite get that on a sorc or templar yet. My Dunmer NB and DK are awesome though.

I have and use all 8 of mine.

I was actually a little disappointed we only got 8 slots when I first started since I wanted to have a character from each race. I like to build a story with all my characters across every Elder Scrolls game I play, so I spend a lot of time fiddling around with all my different toons.

Because of this, I've yet to reach Vet level with any of them despite the fact that I've been playing daily since early access. No hurry though.

I use all 8 on the EU server.

Two are vying to be my main. A NB I've been playing since the start, and a templar which may take over as my main as I'm really enjoying the class.

Three crafting alts - as I used to run solo a lot and so needed to be self sufficient in terms of crafting stuff. I may eventually phase them out as I've found a decent guild now.

A bank alt that holds food ingreds, trait stones and some trophies and other stuff.

Another NB that runs in a different alliance for occasions when a friend logs on who joined the DC.

And the final spot is remade over and over again.

Yup, I'm an altoholic. If there were more characters spots available on the same server, I'd probably use them too.

My biggest inventory sinks are, provisioning and enchanting materials. Clothing comes in close behind with the sheer amount of garbage it requires. Also, my research queue is almost unmanagable. I'm at 6 or 7 traits on everything, and I'm a month away from full 8 trait woodworking. So, it's a little bit of a space sink.

I have all slots full on NA & 7 on EU. A few are mules, but most are ones I play.
I love experimenting with builds & am working on getting them all to VR. (So far have only succeeded in doing so with my main on EU)

2 "mains", another 2 that I actually play (lower level, questing through the other 2 factions), and 4 that are purely "bank mules". However, even the 4 "playable" characters do carry quite a bit of stuff on them.

Two that I play and six mules. The two mains function as mules on occasion.

If I were to offer advice to any new player it would be to skip most crafting. You are better off using that time to just play and/or gold or set piece farm.

Dropped set armor/weapons are often better than crafted sets and any player crafted pieces you can likely buy in guild or chat. Inventory management in ESO can be a huge time sink and headache all around.

I have my main. I do create alts from time to time, but end up deleting them fairly quickly, as I don't really find this game to be very alt-friendly.

I use all eight. I've resigned myself to use the NA server for those quirky ideas that sounds cool in my head but probably won't see a lot of actual gameplay. EU server is all serious business!

One main at VR14, one Alt from each other class levelling gradually. No mules. Main does all 6 crafts.

2 on the PTS.

All of 'em!

They're carefully and thoughtfully created and named - and I fully intend to play each and every one - but right now the seven that I'm not playing are doubling as mules.

I've recently gotten all 8 characters up to 110 inventory spaces, and my bank is up to 150 spaces now - but when I have it maxed out, I'll be able to play any one of up to three different characters, just by dumping what they're holding into the bank (with room to spare, actually).
