How compatible is this game with macs?

I'm thinking about installing OS X onto my windows PC and was curious if there are any outstanding issues with macs as far as this game goes. Judging from some of the material I've read on the matter, developers often times don't rush to fix mac compatibility issues since they consist of a much smaller player base on average, compared to that of windows users.

Thanks!

I actually have less problems sometimes than those on PC. This game actually perform very well on the mac OS. There is a lot of bugs period in the game, but I don't experience any more than most I see and my friends have more issues with the game on their PC than on my Mac. And my graphics card isn't that great.

You might want to post in the Mac technical support area.

Just want to say that Cyrodill sucks to me and I've posted about it in Mac Support regularly. It seems many Mac users there think PvP is worse for us - but then I can't make any legit statement concerning that because I haven't played it on PC.

I've played ESO on an iMac I purchased in June 2013, and have had only a few minor issues — including crashing in Cyrodiil — on it while putting several hundred hours into the game.

If you go to Sanctum Ophidia and try to block, your character will lower his guard and you will die :). ZOS support will say they don't know, are fixing the issue bla bla bla. Got a friend using Mac to play the game it's sometimes horrible for him and some bugs never get fixed. Then again to be fair, he can enjoy most of the game without issue.

If I can give you an advice: Don't Mac, really. The mere fact this game, with all the issues it has on PC is compatible with Mac is a mistake since they have twice the amount of bugs to fix in two totally different structures.

I've played on my macbook pro since prerelease, Cyro was a pain, there was a memory leak that would crasht the game every 15min, or when alot of people were around, this seems to be fixed since 1.4 and now we just crash as every other player (wich is still alot, some days are better than others)

Because OS X is more aesthetically pleasing and windows 8 is horrendous. Granted, you have a much smaller library of games available on mac, but it's not like I ever play anything other than ESO anyways...

Er... Never mind. Apparently most laptops are not fully compatible with OS X and I'm not going to pay $2,500 for a mid-range gaming macbook =/

I wasn't thinking of windows 8. I completely agree with your view on it. Which is why I still install windows 7 on new PCs and will continue to do so till 10 is out, which will be great if microsoft continues to follow its great-crap-great-crap-great rotation.

I play on a MacBook Pro. I have the game installed on my computer both via Bootcamp and on the Mac OS. I get better performance in Bootcamp (using a Windows 7 install).

The game looks better on Bootcamp because I can set the graphics higher.

    Ref: Mac gaming
Any company that ignores the Apple users is losing money.

That Forbes guy is wrong though, there are decent game capable Macs. However, they cost an arm & a leg. I'm a PC gamer BTW. If you can put your own computer together, the PC is the way to go without question. If your life only involves computer gaming, then an off the shelf PC will save you money. If you have a life and make money in the real world, then you have choice but I'll let the market speak for itself.

I think few people will deny that if you want to primarily use your machine to play games, a decent PC is by far the more cost-efficient option—even as a fond Mac user, I have no trouble acknowledging this. However, if a company charges me the same price for the Mac version of their product that PC gamers pay, should I not be able to expect to get the same value for my money, as well?

Because then he will just re-paint HP logo with an apple and he will have sexy Mac like all his snobbish peers for 1/3 of price.

You can stick your head in the sand or wherever it is that you stick your head, but the market is fairly clear on what they want. Since you brought it up, have you seen the news about HP lately?

Indeed I have, it has been in the air for some time now, and, after all, that is what all smart large enterprises tend to do to be more innovative, competitive and efficient; getting rid of core business. Even NASA is getting rid of its rocket launching business, because private contractors know how to do it better.
The point is, though, that ASUS logo is rather hard to repaint with an apple.
And yes, market is clear, PCs with an apple logo sell lot better and with higher margins than PCs with other logos.
