The best quest of the game (Main quest) is solo entirely.

And it's over before you hit level 50, let alone Veteran Ranks. Then it's simply going through Cadwell's Silver and Gold quests (which are only the side quests of the other 2 factions that you didn't originally play). So once you've done that, what is left? What is the point of running an alt since you've already done all the quests? They should be creating new low level expansions to give players a reason for creating/playing alts and they should be creating solo (as well as group and guild) content. But instead, they choose to totally ignore and alienate a large segment of their player base. In my humble opinion, those who need to group/guild are weak and incapable of dealing with things on their own.
Don't know about you, but I played through Skyrim with a bunch of different characters. Each of them had to play the same quests. Yes, there is a bunch of mods to play, but I'd be surprised if someone told me they never repeated any Skyrim content. I don't see how leveling alts in ESO is any different from that experience. Vets are not forced to do Caldwell Silver or Gold, there are other ways to level. In truth, the only reason to level past VR1 is access to gear with better stats, since there are currently no attribute increases after 50. You play alts in ESO for the same reason you started a new character in Skyrim....to try a new class, race, skills and so on.
Yes, and as I've stated numerous times, I have played alts. Through every faction at least once. I've played every class at least twice, although a number of them I deleted because I wasn't happy with the race/class combination. Some I've kept around for crafting purposes although they stalled out in leveling as I simply got more interested in other combinations.

I'm out too. Doesn't seem to matter that every poll done here and 3rd party sites show that around 65% are PvE players. I had changed my sub from 6 months to month to month but after reading the hatred exhibited towards the solo player and watching the mods seemingly agree with it I just went ahead and cancelled. Quite frankly I just do not care to associate in game or in RL with people that spew such putrid tripe, particularly when it is directed at me.

I'll keep an eye on things and pro'lly sub for a month to play the new solo content in the spring. Unless it is just vaporware that is. At this point my dissatisfaction with ZOS has spread to Zenimax and Bethesda s well. With my current level of distrust I would not pre order any TES or Fallout games. Trust lost is difficult to regain.

To be honest, there are plenty of reasons to leave this game but what you are saying amazes me.

Basically you are leaving the game because it is a MMO and not a solo playing game ?? seriously ?? I mean why did you buy this in the first place. Bye bye. I hope ZOS doesn't read this crap and keeps listening to MMO players.

BTW : i'd like to remind you that goodbye threads ARE NOT ALLOWED in the forum

As a diehard TES fan I'm very happy with ZOS' s take one the elder scrolls series. The attention to lore and character personality, as well as the literature in all the zones to dive in to has been awesome.
