Actually in duels, it's a very good sorc tactic to get in close before unleashing the proc'ed CFs. The reason you get in close is the DK has next to 0 reaction time to put Scales up. Then you BE out of melee range of course.

It sounds like you didn't understand I'm saying.
I'm saying there's a strategy to reduce the effectiveness of scales and beat DKs without having to change your whole build, train new weapons, reset skills points etc. etc. Nvm
