When I enter a bank, it seems to take a long time for the banker to "appear" is this a setting in graphics? Is there something I can do to speed up this appearance factor? Also, when riding my horse through town, I get a lot of loading screens, is there a setting for that?

This is a bug; I have had the same problem. At best you could file a support ticket; but that will only put there attention on it. It will only get fixed in a future patch :(

Guess you double posted but I'll comment here. The Banker thing can just be not enough ram or slow ram depends on how many people are in the bank and turning down graphics can help. I run 16 GB of ram and when I walk into a bank it takes a few seconds to get the banker because of the sheer number of players. Not much you can do about that. As far as the loading while moving through town no there is no setting for that and I have only experienced once. Not sure if that's the server moving you to a new instance, a technical thing or some sort of lag between you and their servers just trying to catch up. If it gets too much you might wanna write them.

there is no way its a ram issue. I have 64 gigs in ram and 2 gigs dual 780's with 4 gigs video ram. I have a gaming rig with more than enough power and memory. I know in other games they had settings where you could alter the people you saw (or drew) ect as that slows down the rendering via network process. Either way its annoying as hell!

    I double posted??

It only appears slow for me the 1st time I log in. I have a decent pc but far from best. Maybe its matter of hard-disk? SSD?

I have this issue from time to time too, not sure what it is, seems to be a delay from buffering from some source.

But since it only last a few seconds I can live with it.

For information, I got the same problem with 32 GB of ram and high speed broadband. Also my game is napping all the time when I run. EU server.

I just looked, can't find the second post, it wasn't at the top of the second page was it, because that's a bug in the forums (last post on first page gets repeated as first post on second page).

I've been seeing this issue too. Not just bankers, some other npcs and also slow loading textures too. My pc has 16gb ram, a 280x graphics card and a octo core cpu. It's a bit annoying but there are worse issues in the game :p

Just the one as far as I know, and a repeated thread isn't important.

Northgate in Cyrodiil slow-rendered yesterday for me. Half expected to see some giant hand in the sky placing items one by one.

None of that matters. It's a 32 Bit Game, so the address space it can use is less than 4GB. So, it can be a memory issue, the limit is just not with your hardware.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

64 GB of ram? Yeesh! Here I thought my 16 GB in my custom build arriving next week was pretty high end.

I too have bankers, as well as textures coming in slow. I've noticed brick/concrete stairs in cities, and smithing stations come in slowly too from time to time.

Someone already mentioned about this being a 32 bit game.

City's and towns have always done this, the sequential loading of graphical elements. It's the solution they used to prevent or greatly reduce load screen times. If my reticle is pointed where the banker usually stands I will see the E before the banker ever loads and I can interact with him.

The only way to speed this up is to put the game on an SSD. It won't eliminate it but it will speed it up as it is a function of pulling all that art data from your hard drive.

    Banker loads instantly.

No pausing or loading screens riding through town.
