Gamestop is garbage. Use amazon or even Wal-Mart. Hell, try Macy's before looking at Gamestop.

Ah Macy's ... the golden standard for how to run the worst Customer Service department in America

The whole game time card concept was dreampt up for people (kids) without credit cards (or unwilling to use them). Some kids get an allowance but arent of age to get a CC, the whole system caters to them.

funny, I and many other people would use game cards by buying them with in game currency to not have to pay for secondary (or even primary) accounts. I did this in EQ with my berserker's account.

It'd not even remotely related to kids or not.
Dear Sister, I do not spread rumors, I create them.

i don't know if anyone has said this yet, but keep in mind that yes gamestop may have little in the line of PC games, but ESO has only been out for around 4 months now and it, for whatever reason takes stores a long time to get-in PC game time code.

I'd have to strongly disagree with this one as an ultimatum. Availability is greatly influenced by where you are in the world. At least in the US where I am, Amazon had the cards ready for release on launch day. Walmart and Target might not have had it on launch day but had them within the first month. Gamestop took a few months due to some mix-up and still doesn't sell them online. Based on what region of the US you are in, it would appear from the responses to this thread that the cards were available sooner in some regions that others.

Just gonna put this out there - Thank you for the Paypal system.

I've played a dozen MMO in my time and getting stupid time cards or having to use a credit card is a pain in the ass. It was worse when I lived in a small city in Canada, you have no idea how the convenience of Paypal makes the sub system.

true but that is my point that depending on where you live and the stores in your area some will get it sooner than other i'm not defending them, i am just saying give it time and hopefully they will catch up with the rest, but for whatever reason some are slower than other.

P.S of course amazon would have it that soon they are a online retailer its easier for them to sell thing online.

I remember you had to put a card on file before you could activate your game and put in a prepaid. I haven't tried unsubscribing since I didn't realize it lets you stop having a card on file if you unsubscribe. I thought you always had to have a card on file if your game was active.
Nope, this isn't like Xbox live where they try to lock your credit card into their system. (Or at least used to.)

@Lynx7386 So true man so true Gamestop sucks if you are a PC gamer. They have been shitting on us for a long time too they stopped taking used PC games sometime in the late 90's. And when they did they didn't check to make sure the game actually worked or had all the requiredpaperwork. For example in the mid 90's I found a copy of Mechwarrior1. A game from the late 80's the copy protection would be considered quaint today. You had to identify two mech parts by name. Without the manual is damn hard to even know what the names of the parts or that there was 30 named parts in it. I got lucky in the simple fact that I played tabletop Battletech and just so happened knew the parts names. Someone raised less weird that me was screwed. My folks took me to my first Sci Fi convention when I was one month old. I got another game from them that just didn't work when I took it back to get my money, they were like sorry kid.
