I want to play like ZOS advertised, play MY way. That was a marketing lie. I can't play my way because it simply does not work. I started a Nightblade and wanted to be a stealthy bow sniper. Yeah. Not happening. I went to stam build, medium armor. Turns out what I was 'supposed to do' was a majika build as most things I used wanted majika, not stam. Then I found out that bows suck badly. Medium armor is like wearing toilet paper, and nothing I did worked.
I chose to become a werewolf. That turned out to be a complete waste of skill points on something that was a horribly thought out concept that after several months ZOS is completely ignoring. Another wrong choice I made.
At 48 I attempted to do those annoying solo quests again, all of which are grey to me. Tried the sancre tor quest, I died 5x trying that. I tried the fighters guild quest, died 4x, and some arena tournament quest, where I died 6x.
I tried playing other ways, and yes, when I turned to a popular build that everyone uses for my NB, I rocked, I was able to kill things, I could survive. But that's NOT MY STYLE OF PLAY. I hated it and the abilities.
So as a result of wanting to play MY way, I can't complete the game or advance beyond 48. I am not happy. Just insert here a TON of really bad language directed toward ZOS. I mean just think of the absolute WORST you can dream up and that's what im saying right now to ZOS and their design staff.

Is there a way to mark a post for Insightful and LOL? Never mind, I'll stick one down the Insightful chimney.
This one cannot even comprehend how Cyrodiil structure works. After the lagtastic fiasco, I went back to play as an Aldmeri Dominion character. Well, I ended up joining the Aldmeri Dominion security detail, the Nightingales...which not only was a total pain in the neck (I had to devote most of my time to recruit training on the weekends, which is like the only time I'm on due to real life work, that security detail was subsequently shut down with the closure of the old 90-day campaigns. I decided I was going to go play my way and join the Covenant and play as a scout who is the Lost Child...and again, they required me to join another club, which in this case is the "Lion's Watch" program which is similar to the Nightingales...and meaning I have to devote most of my time to training.
I don't mean to be a troll, but come on. Can I at least communicate with people and do scouting quests to develop my Tactica Khajiiti (which I also post here on the forums in the Alliance War category) without needing to join this "security detail" in order to at least get people to stop ignoring me?
I dont want to sound like the troll of this Post....but I've found your lack of skills...quite disturbing, I wonder what the hell are you gonna do when u reach VR dungeons or Trials...I have used all but Sorc classes and I can tell you, M.Amor/Bow NB is quite OP at the moment,it was even more OP back then when Snipe wasn't nerfed (YEAH,NERFED!!)...so, I think your problem is a huge lack of skills, also, you dont need to go full magicka for a Bow NB,their Bow skills need stamina, their damage depends on it, and if you want stealth all you need is a bit of Magicka, however I wouldnt like to go full stamina...
This being said,I agree with what happened when u choose to become WW,they really need to buff them or give them more human-form reliability, because my WW character never uses WW form, in fact, all I use it for is to bite friends when they want to become one,WW form is a real waste of Ultimate Skill slot and you dont need it when you are a "Stealthy Bow-Sniper"...
I think ZOS is more interested in the fact that the OP's post sparked 5 pages of response, the majority of which are from people who successfully play non-skirt/stick Nightblades in a wide variety of content and seem to enjoy the class and play style.
After taking the time to read all the great NB player responses here, I've been convinced that I need to go spend some time learning and playing my level 3 placeholder/banker Nightblade!!
Thanks OP, the thread you opened here did more to consolidate the validity of a sneaky bow wielding assassin than many other threads I've read - I'm excited to go experience more about this class that I've been overlooking until now!

ESO used to be a challenge but its been nerfed to death because of how many people thought it was...hard. I guess it wasn't nerfed enough for your taste, sorry but the fact is its too easy now. Pre-nerf I struggled to free Abner Tharn from Mannimarco, I struggled to defeat Mannimarco but post nerf I was done with both in a few minutes. Pre-nerf Doshia was beast that would shred you, now she rolls over for belly rubs and a cuddle by the fire purring softly.
If you thought all that was hard pre-nerf VR solo questing generally resulted in me dying at least once an hour if not more because of how tough the mobs were. Rather than rage quit maybe you should take a good long, hard look at your build and see what is working and what isn't then rebuild it carefully to play how you like without resorting to a robe and stick. I have yet to play any character that I haven't found a way to make work in PVE. My current character test build is a Nightblade tank in full heavy armor with sword and shield that flips to restoration staff to heal others because frankly the build is so strong and self healing from Nightblade skills/Vampires Kiss armor that I rarely need healing or die.

I set up my character to do DPS in groups, I like what I do and the people I play with always liked having me around. None of that is the issue.
Where I start to fail so badly is on those da** quests that force you to do them solo against tougher than normal mobs & bosses. My personal setup simply wont work there.

I disagree and agree - some is unwilling to learn, some is broken mechanics that were not fixed, some are broken skills, some because respecs were not available when she pop'd up and at the time they were far too expensive. Some of the stuff that caused Doisha to be hard is still not fixed; eg clearly being out of the red attack area and still getting damage.@Jennifur_Vultee
It's sad really. I had so much trouble with Doshia before she was nerfed, On my new character I fought her and beat her in 4 hits. She didn't even turn into the harvester form yet. All these nerfs are happening because people are unwilling to learn.

I had a lot of problems with Doisha - on top of the above issues: Mainly because in 2 of the zones she was in an enclosed area and the harvester balls would come out to quickly. Kiting was near impossible in these two areas because she would reset - at least when I played her.
IMHO They should have kept her unnerfed and allowed you to bring a companion; people then would have had a choice. And they need to fix their mechanics.
