Veteran vesion of reaper's march/Veteran level 5/Daggerfall Covenant as start faction
During the quest you have to collect 3 cores, one fire, one ice and one storm atronach core. The storm atronach core finally dropped after i had killed 3 of those while the fire and ice one dropped on their first attempt. It's not a game breaking bug but it can easily ruin the fun of people since many ( myself included ) got problems with that type of atronach.

For one of the Baan Dar’s Boast quests in Reaper's March you have to collect poisoned strangler hearts, I got the strangler hearts in like 3 minutes the first two times I did the quest. Then they broke the drop rates on the strangler hearts just before my third character and my girlfriend's character were to do it. It took me about an hour of grinding them to get all the hearts I needed, Maggie on the other hand gave up after 45 minutes and abandoned the quest. We both ground enough strangers and giant snakes to level up almost an entire level.
Yes, storm atronochs are a lot harder to kill than stranglers but it could be worse than killing just three to get the core. Imagine grinding through 30-40 to get the core. Well you're doing better than I have. I can't get any cores to drop from any atronachs. I'm Lvl 45, and these atronachs are difficult for me to kill on my own, but when I do there is no core. This kind of grinding is less than fun. You should be rewarded with your quest item after difficult battles such as these, instead I get nothing but essence and other junk. Hey ZOS, is there any chance that you are going to fix "A Questionable Contract"?

I finally managed to grab all three cores, but not till after fighting my way through countless atronachs, and then trying to remember where I had already been. This is just me, but considering how difficult each fight was before I battled the right ones, ZOS should really consider making this a little clearer, or at least point you toward the correct targets, as opposed to having an entire battlefield full of dozens of tough atronachs with only three of them being the correct ones.0
