Pretty much every class has a CC like this (which nobody really uses).

Sorc has Rune Prison, DK has Petrify, Templar has.. actually, Templar doesn't even get a long CC, lol.

Crippling Grasp is awesome... One of the highest damage DoT abilities in the game, and relatively cheap to cast. The root effect is just icing on the cake.

Encase is nice, but doesn't do any damage, and costs a ton of magicka. Different beasts altogether, imo.

Sure, it could use some work, but I love my NBs (both stam and magicka), and the class is a lot stronger than most people give it credit for.

As far as PvE goes, NB is the highest dps single-target class in magicka, and to my knowledge, also boasts the highest dps stamina-based dps as well.

For PvP, it lacks strong defenses like the other classes, but brings a number of exclusive utility abilities to the table, and when Cloak / stealth actually works correctly, will have a pretty strong escape.

NB healers are absolute monsters when it comes to resource management and longevity, making up for their slightly smaller heals w/ incredible sustain and utility.

NB tanks are also in a decent spot, though a bit behind the others in terms of pure mitigation. They could use a bit of work, imo, but they are by no means not viable for Trials.

No, it's not the same as the other classes, but I don't believe that all classes need to bring the same abilities, so long as the options that are there are strong and allow NBs to perform their roles well, which they do.

My main character is a Nightblade, it's not playable after the last patch. But I've already decided to walk away from ESO for a while (possibly permanently if things don't change). It would have been nice to play in Cyrodiil now and again for the next couple of weeks before my sub ends, but right now there's no point.

NB lacks alot of utlity seriously either that or our skills sound really good when you read the description but in practice its crap pure crap.

so what do I find when I login after update 4? they screwed skill weaving/clipping with this skill..so my main dmg dealer as a magicka nb is gone... now I need to rub my brain and squeeze some ideas and workout my neurons just to figure out how to have fun again with a broken class oh wait Stealth radius is bugged as well..so the only thing that makes my class shine [ambush and vieled strike best openers in game imo] is not that viable cuz of the stupid stealth radius bug.

so lets see.. I lose my opener in this update cause everyone detects me, my cloak is still broken,I lose the skill weaving/clipping with swallow soul/funnel health so less dmg less ult,concealed weapons passive doesn't work,I lose the super speed from night silence even that is not related to NB everyone can use it lol.

I haven't noticed any changes with skill weaving on Funnel. What exactly are you referring to?

Ive moved away from NB skills and mahicka and focussing on weapon skill and stam.Just like ive always wanted to.
