Dodging sucks Stamina

I currently have 1350 points of Stamina when up to full strength.
If I am standing in a town in no danger and not fighting and I do a Dodge ( either direction ) it eats up 21% of my stamina.

THAT AIN'T RIGHT.

To just move left or right takes NO STAMINA but to dodge takes 21% :(

I had just created a macro to dodge left and right and saw it eat my stamina to ZERO in about 4 moves. The macro actually stops and waits for stamina to build up and then fires ( I didn't do that on purpose ... it just does it all by itself ).

This makes Dodging virtually useless because I also need stamina for many of my Abilities.

Dodging should take ZERO stamina just like moving left twice does if you don't do it fast enough to trigger Dodge.
If I wanted a Signature I would have a Signature --- but i don't want one so I don't have one.

    What you're encountering is one of the primary reasons why stamina-based builds are, and have been, wholly inferior to magicka-based builds. Until such time as ZOS acknowledges and changes the blocking and dodging resource allocations, stamina builds will continue to be inferior with all else equal.

    A couple of ways ZOS could address this design (in)equality issue:
    1. Create a new resource stat for blocking/dodging, etc.
    2. Make blocking magicka-based attacks drain magicka on block instead of always drawing on stamina.

    Maybe stamina usage for dodge should be fix values, not 20%. My lvl 3 Char is able to dodge with less stamina then v14.

    This was one of the many inept design decisions ZOS made: to have at its core a battle mechanic that is based on consuming large amounts of the 'power' that's needed to drive physical attacks, while leaving the corresponding magic attack 'power' untouched.

    How that fatally flawed idea got past the initial design review is beyond me.

    It is a fixed value, not a percentage. The fixed value changes as your level changes tho, so it is possible for L3 to roll dodge more than V14.

    Working as intended. Their intention is broken, but no plans for change have been announced, so assume this is what we need to put up with. I have learned to simply run out of telegraphs and reserve the roll dodge for when I am rooted. Works kind of OK, even though the network latency often makes me get caught by attacks long after I am out of harm's way.
