Error 500, can't connect to Account webpage

I FINALLY saved up enough to buy the game (long story), and while it's installing, I tried to set up my account on the webpage so I can claim the Explorer's Pack code and make sure my subscription info is updated (presumably I need to put in my debit card information so I can be billed after my free month is over). However, every time I try to access the page "account.elderscrollsonline.com", I receive the following message "ERROR 500 We're sorry, the page you're looking for cannot be found."

The "return home" button at the bottom of that page points at https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/users/account , which redirects to "account.elderscrollsonline.com" and gives me the same error.

Is the webpage down because of the scheduled maintenance, or is there another URL I'm supposed to use?

Hey there @aasterlingb14_ESO,

You've got the right URL, this is an issue that we've experienced in the past with certain ISPs. We recommend contacting your internet service provider for the issue, as this has fixed a large majority of the reported issues.

As a work around, you can try this link, which should allow you to log in and access your account:

https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/account/billing/change-subscription

If you need to install the game client, you can use this link to download it directly as opposed to logging in:

http://elderscrolls-a.akamaihd.net/products/BNA_Launcher/Install_ESO.exe

If you have a smartphone, you can also temporarily work around this issue by accessing the website while connected to your mobile network as opposed to WiFi. This will allow you to change your account settings and subscription options if the first link above doesn't work.

Sadly, the workaround link doesn't help me either. It takes me to the same Error 500 page.

I can try to contact my ISP, but as I have Comcast, I don't hold out a lot of hope that they're willing to help me. You know how they are.

I did a little Internet research, and it looks like Error 500 is an internal server-side error, which probably means I can't fix it on my end or with my ISP.

The Comcast tech I spoke to said that I should purchase a static IP, which doesn't sound like it would help.

How widespread is the problem? Has it been going on since ESO's launch, or is it a more recent issue?

Update: I've tried accessing my account in Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Internet Explorer on my gaming computer, and also in Safari on my iPad and Safari on a Mac at a friend's house (serviced by a different ISP). It didn't work on any device. This tells me the problem must be on the elderscrollsonline website.

I am still using the same userID and password I had during the beta. I don't need to make a new account, do I?

Having the same problem for the last 24 hours, and tried accessing it from several devices and browsers on a rural ISP. The link to the downloader worked fine, but can't access account to redeem code.
