Love and Hate--also black screen

17/09/2014 I was talking to an NPC in Rivenspire when game went to a black screen and just quit- no error message or anything so ????? any answer for this.
I Love and also hate this game, have played every elder scrolls game bugs n all, was excited when I first heard they were making another 4 to 5 years ago and then was shattered when I heard it was to be an mmo, I have played many mmo's and enjoyed them but this game should have stayed true to its beginnings in my honest opinion. Many parts of it are good but a lot of it is bad, never thought it would go the same way as wow in virtually forcing you to group. that is not what they said, they said you could play entirely solo and obtain drops of items on a par with groupies, not true. on a good note they finally fixed quest I could not complete due to a bug so guess I should be grateful for small mercies, hang on though I am PAYING for this. Preordered and paid SIX MONTHS SUB foolish me, have cancelled but they don't do refunds so have until sometime in October. such a shame they have spoilt a fantastic game, should never have been made into an mmo. Only FIVE ability slots !! please come on !!!

Seravi✭✭✭✭✭Are you using an NVIDIA card? If so search the forums for NVIDIA black screen and you will find all the nice edits we make to our usersettings.txt file so we don't get the black screen.
Sometimes running widowed full screen will fix it. If not then there are several lines you will need to change in your usersettings.txt file that will hopefully fix it.0 -

✭Online means to be played with other people, whatever sorry excuse for soloing is BS, online or multiplayer is meant to be played with others, no company or player should ever think something massively online multiplayer is in any way solo, it just defeat the whole purpose. You bought knowing it was online. Not only that but subbed for 6 months. Your problem, not the game's. Wait till 2018 or so for the next ES6 Argonia or so the rumours say in the internet.0 -
Seravi✭✭✭✭✭You don't have to group. Yeah the group dungeons are a nightmare if you don't but most of the time you can find a few players willing to run with you. There is usually one public group dungeon per area but everything else can be done solo. You will quickly learn what skills work best for your play style and you can survive the dungeons and dolmens just fine. You have 10 slots after level 15 since it allows you to then switch weapons and adds five more slots for the secondary weapon. I have a V4 and just started an alt lvl 20 now and she hasn't grouped on time so far. If I come across a hard boss I work at it until I can take it down. If there are others there we work together, cheer and go our own way.
Most of the time players complain because everything is solo in the quests and you can't group. I loved the earlier games and have played them over and over and over. I wasn't sure I would like this as an MMO being a solo player but I don't need to group unless I want to. I enjoy the challenge of diving into a cave and taking on whatever it throws at me and learning from my mistakes.
