Actually it made perfect sense as a secondary weapon for Sorcerers.
And just curious, what do Healers use as their 2nd Healer weapon?
Resto is the primary weapon for sorcs in pvp, as far as I can tell. The resto bar usually contains bolt escape and cyrstal fragment, and is the tactical bar. Destro is secondary, used for impulse trains and zerg combat.Nightreaver wrote: »thelordoffelines wrote: »Wait wait wait WAIT....

Dont get too excited... apparently there is nothing NB left to break at this time. Otherwise Z would surely have found it.

I am getting 245 every time I use the Restoration Staff's Heavy attack, which is 13% of my maximum, not 30%. The current level varied widely during the test, so it has to be of the max.

The +30% is +30% of the returned value, not 30% of your total magicka.
Also, the returned value for Restoration Staff was changed from 10% of your pool, to a level determined by your character's level (189 at Level 50+).
I've tested on alts of various levels and came up with the numbers in this thread.

You know the sad thing is? I work with a dev team as well and if someone asks me (or that team), "hey, you guys tested this release?" we would all be offended. OF COURSE we would test it. It's rather rude to ask.
Unfortunately, looking at this thread, it's just a little too much NOT to ask.
I mean, that's one of the biggest change in the game, got sneaked into a patch, and... half the functionality is broken?
Did you guys push the wrong build or something???
How did you guys do the live QA? Do you have a staging environment? Load tested/balanced? How's your testcases scope? How??

I hope developers do realize this is blanket 10% nerf to all ranged magicka DPS. That's a huge nerf especially for single target sorcerers. Of course we all can just join the blobs and spam impulse, but I just don't find that very interesting way to play any game. However if that's the intended future of this game, just let me know so I know to unsub in time.
