Buffs for Templars

I have thought about this a good long time and I've come up with proposed buffs for Templars, to get them in line with other classes in terms of DPS, and yet still keep the Dragonknight as the most OP class (:p).

1. Piercing Javelin: increased damage the lower the enemy's health.
2. Nova: reduced ultimate cost to 220 (with all passives).
3. Sun Fire: increased speed (same as Funnel Health)
4. Solar Flare: small chance to get instant cast like Crystal Fragments, but without the reduced cost
5. Backlash: reduced cast time to 1 second

Dark Flare, Sun Fire, and Blazing Spear all need faster animation. Dark Flare is a long cast, and then on top of that it arcs way up in the air and takes forever to land. Blazing Spear has no long cast, but still has a long animation where you need to toss it in the air and wait for it to land. Sun Fire takes its sweet old time getting to the target. All of these delays and animations makes the Templar DPS rotation clunky and awkward.

    Sad but true.

3 months ago they said they would look into the Templars' lack of mana management, after almost every Templar who responded to their dev thread on what to do with Templars said that the main problem the class still has is mana management. 3 months ago...
Templars are 'just slower... by design'
Yes, Gina actually said that (at least regarding Rushed Ceremony) right here:

Yup, templars still cannot compete endgame DPS-wise. I am surprised there are templars still playing after 4 months of this bullsh*t.

I'm playing a Templar as my main and I love it. :P That said, I'm not going for DPS. I'm running a healer/tank, mostly because I enjoy it and partly because DPS from Templars is sub-par. Templars make excellent healers, but I agree that their DPS game needs some work.

I have a templar "warlock" build that has decent dps output and fairly high magicka regen (112) with heavy armor. Using a resto staff, I can pretty much dps nonstop.

Yeah you can do about 600dps sustained. All the while DKs/Sorcs/NBs are doing 1.2k dps sustained.

There is a reason why trial groups don't allow any Templar DPS

QFT. My Templar even has bad racials for a Templar IMO (a Khajiit who seems to have racials designed for Nightblade).
