It has always stacked. Don't see why this patch would change anything.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

i asking because depending on the normal weapon return it could be a very good stack or i might free up a space on my action bar?

siphon heavy returning 3% + plus 15% (if it procs)

+ return on normal heavy attacks could end up being alot, or maybe i can drop siphoning and have something else ^^

its interesting because i might be able to drop siphoning for haste!

and then haste becomes very interesting maybe ?

heavy attacks are still pointless for melee in PvP...just too slow. Ranged, yeah it's ok for just skirmishing. But otherwise, this is a useless change as far as stamina based / Melee PvP'ers are concerned, unless it's like 1000 points of stamina returned, than maybe.

Battles are just too fast and furious otherwise to be waiting for a heavy attack animation to finish.

It all depends if the stamina or magicka return still occurs when clipping heavy attacks. Most do not use heavy because the animation appears longer than is actually required for full damage. It still is a dps loss but minor when clipped correctly.

Also I believe you and many are still looking at this issue wrong. It should be about why light attack cancelling is so effective. It really shouldn't be. The next change should be making light attack cancelling less effective. It only promotes spam combat, negates haste entirely and forces players to make builds based around the most effect instant attacks.

The most effective dps method in game is breaking other mechanics and causing massive balancing issues. Light attack cancelling is the issue here. It is broken and not working as intended. I do not care if people are "used to it". They fail to see the issues caused by it. You balance the single issue causing multiple problems ... not the other way around.
  • DuelWieldingCheesyPoofs
note say it only works if its a full heavy, but they should make it so you cant animation cancel light attacks..too
  • DuelWieldingCheesyPoofs
my nb with siphoning can get endless stam in my tank spec just by light attack/cancel with block, im always blocking and getting back 3% stam and magika ...2% health too if morphed
  • DuelWieldingCheesyPoofs
do it fast enough you can strife/light attack/block! and get resources back

Plus I rely heavily on bash/stun.... so it could be useful if I have time for heavy attacks in the window...especially if it gives me back the stamina cost of the bash...etc

DPS doesnt matter.....stuns extend that combat window... so the dps doesnt hvae to be so high.
    eg. let them get 1 hit.....stun...heavy light....let them get 1 hit...stun....etc.
