Collections tab

There should be a new tab in the bank called "Collections". In the collection part of the bank all crafting materials will be stored and other materials that are considered "collections". This feature would help all collectors to save space and ofc the collections tab will be upgradeable, so you can store even more material.

So let's say you can save 100 of each material. With the first upgrade you can save 150, second upgrade 200 and third upgrade 250. This would really help to sort out the space problem most players have. Otherwise you have to sell stuff all the time and fit them in the bank and then you go mad.

A similar feature exist in GW2 and I think you should adopt it.

This isn't GW2. And you are the 1,000th person to start a thread on this subject.

Learn to manage your inventory and don't try to save each and every little item you collect during the entire course of the game.

I craft in everything and still have a ton of bank space. And crafting items aren't "collections".

Didn't they say they where going to do this during one of the AMAs or something. I remember hearing about it but don't remember where.

In general, I wouldn't be thrilled with them playing follow the leader... especially after Guild Wars 2. But, at the same time, I wouldn't say no to a separate dedicated reservoir for crafting bits that we shuffled off our characters. It'd probably help balance out the insane inconsistency on inventory commitment between schools.

This is only a problem for newer players. Most of my characters are at 150 inventory space. My bank is at 150 space. The max is 240 if I recall right, so I have plenty of room to grow. On top of that my crafters are mostly maxed out on research. I don't even bother deconstructing everything anymore, only the green and better items. The rest goes to the nearest NPC merchant. I don't have to visit a bank for hours and even days, depending on how much time I can play.

I have even quit emptying my characters inventory of provisioning materials. My highest level VR character loots everything now, he usually runs around with 50+ provisioning materials on him.

This makes visits to the bank very very very short.

I've even noticed that the inventory whining posts have gone way down. Still takes a little management but I don't even notice it any more.

What's incongruous is that Provisioning can happily eat 80+ inventory spaces while being managed, but Alchemy has an effective limit around 25-30.

Um, firstly they have a tab for Materials, so why would they bung in collections with them.

Secondly, the whole bank is upgradable, why would you spend money to upgrade only part of it, when you can upgrade the slots and choose how you use them.

I think they were suggesting the materials tab wouldn't contribute to the main inventory limits.

Yeah, I had a paragraph about how they weren't going to give us free bank space, but it sounded really antagonistic so I removed it and changed the last paragraph from "And finally" to "secondly".

I still doubt they will give us free bankspace for mats, it removes 60% of the reason for buying bank upgrades and they need goldsinks in the game.

Supposedly, the entire point behind the bank system was to softcap multiple professions on a single account.

then they should have made it only 2crafts/char or something
I got 6 crafts maxed, spread out over 2 toons, If it werent for the skillpoint limitations I would have done em on 1
and cap it on a account is another story, with everybody running bankeralts

I forgot to mention this one as well as making inventory management a lot easier.
