Should they scrape 1.4 release and do 1.5 right in a month?

1.4 offers very little i will use and lots that i don't like. Me i would prefer it is released a month later mostly bug free with features people want, not dont want.

Comment if you looking forward to 1.4 or if it has more negatives than postives. I am curious if most consider it an improvement. Please no need for hype and hystaria but if most are against it we should know & Zos should know ... If most are for it, it is a positive step i guess.

Havent played the PTS so can't speak to bugs, but I'm a fan of every single change and feature coming in 1.4 especially the fx prioritizing! Im gettin' fed up with ults not showing till after I'm dead, the arena is the first pve im looking forward to and new gear is always welcome.

I'd rather they focused much more on class balance but they seem to be hell bent on taking really small baby steps.

Well they've already waited this long to update to 1.4, a few more weeks for 1.5 wouldn't make that much difference to me (especially if it meant more things would be done correctly)...but wouldn't it still be called 1.4? :p lolz

yeah it probably would be called 1.4..... me prefer less bugs and more resolved than a monthly release.

game is not all about pvp alot of people like to pve i know game balance is off for pvp but that does not effect everyone better balance will come with justice system more imo

    Meh!
  • rashkosh127ub17_ESO
A large portion of the endgame PVE population is already on a leave of absence. If they don't release the new content soon (and the PVE content is fine to release in its current state imo) then who knows how much of that population is going to return.

I'm mostly PvE too, and the balance even there is horrendous. What good is more mindless trials with a team of 11 bathrobe-wearing and stick-wielding people?

Stick in VOB! Stack here! So much fun! NOT!

PS: Hardmodes were fun though, more pls ZOS, K?

Yes, I have. But it's still not fun, at least not for me, if you can't play the way you want :)

Also on a sidenote, I don't really get why they need to separate class balancing with content release. Oh well...

This hardly constitutes for a reason to hold off on releasing the content. I feel for stamina users but holding out on releasing new content isn't going to make the changes needed come any quicker.

As someone who works as a software developer, I can comprehend separation of responsibilities. There should be people working on content and people working on bugs and people working on other things. It would be inefficient to have the entire staff working on bugs.

1.4 might see the fewest introduced bugs and most bugs fixed since 1.2, since they decided to not do weekly bug fixes on 1.3 but instead roll them into 1.4.

Doing that, theres less chance of bug fixes made in 1.3 conflicting with changes made in 1.4, and less conflicting patch notes, like "didn't they already do this" that has happened multiple times already.

I don't quite see this although I hope you're right. They said yesterday there are some fixes and I assume tweeks being introduced that have NOT been published on patch notes and I assume not even on the PTS as one of them is the cloak bug for NBs and I am sure if that was on the PTS we would have heard from the NB community before now. Thus we have fixes not tested.

I am praying that one of the unknown tweeks addresses the blob situation.

I hope release 1.4 made someones ESO game more enjoyable, for me it nerfed my character, bugged my enchanting deconstruction and reset all my settings. Only plus is more group content i wont play for months if ever.

:( they broke they NB cloak fix.

I haven't played yet as I'm at work but the trend of easy to identify yet major bugs and issues in live patches is really disheartening. I really like this game, and want to enjoy playing it in my limited game time, but the avoid-the-bug grind I'm seeing is so much less enjoyable then the gear-grind in other games.

Don't know about Update 4, but personally I look forward to Update 5 and beyond. There are indications a few changes might be made to address the pathetic weapons, Stamina, "warriors" situation. One can only hope...

Of course they need to keep feeding the hungry dogs with "new content", except the dogs will chew through it in a day or two, as usual, then proceed to whine, quit or whatever. Never ending story.

i hadnt seen an "new content" that interested me, nothing solo other than dyes ... no pvp changes just more group PVE grind content. i guess i could put up with this but each release breaks my chars and i need to redo all my alt settings and wait 2 weeks for critical bugs to be fixed.

a few things in 1.5 did look like they are leading to something promising someday, but 1.4 is so bad i am not sure if i will stay.
