This is one of the things I think ZOS did right.

This one agree's...
The current system does favor large trading guilds. My smaller guild was without a trader for two weeks because we didn't have the funds to bid high enough.
Not sure for how long we can keep our current trader. Not every guild has millions of gold to sink into a trader.
I predict most traders to be unavailable for smaller guilds soon, with the larger trading guilds dominating the market.

If they offered a Lottery system for smaller guilds that did not require a bid. Put some limits on it such as max number of members, a limited number of Kiosks for the lottery, one week at a time that kind of thing then the joy could be spread around a little more equitably.
Besides, I have seen at least 3 Guild Trade Kiosks that have no Guild Trader assigned, much less any reaction when clicking on them. Why shouldn't a smaller guild be given the opportunity to run it?

I personally think they're okay but it would be a lot more enjoyable if they were all united in a single place.
Having to visit so many places if you want to buy some gear is just a hassle. One trading house for each alliance where you can visit all the guild traders without having to walk around, like an Auction House really.

They can, actually. for 200gp after bidding is over.
Nothing stops them but the effort to find the trader.
Either way, I get irked when I get to a guild trader with a crap selection or nothing to sell.

Did you ever think that maybe the guild trader didn't have a crap selection to start with so it sold out before you got to it or before it could be replenished? That's the problem with this system. It severely limits who can offer things for sale which severely limits your options for buying.
They should implement some limited trader options for small guilds or individuals so there are more options for both buyers and sellers. They could keep the trader system for the larger guilds but why not add a bulletin board in major cities that individuals could post items for sale in a limited fashion (or something similar)?

Over priced and full of junk.
Just people trying to scam those not in guilds (of which their are many) by claiming stuff like a stack of 100 plants is worth 10k gold, ect.
I call this Zeni endorsed scamming as it's legal and encouraged by the Devs.

Some stacks of plants are actually worth 10k gold. People can sell them for less, but stacks of Namira or Lady's Smock are usually worth 10K at the very least.
