I knew the river of tears from the nights silence change was coming
Out of everyone who plays ESO, maybe .0001 % read the forums on a daily basis. Zenimax made the change because it needed it, not because of 30 or so people on the forum.
It's done. You can no longer crawl at 30 miles per hour. Get over it.
Anyone know specifically what files store your settings? I happen to have just cloned my drive to a new SSD a few days ago, so I'm hoping to copy those files over from the old drive (that I haven't reformatted yet) to the new one, and get my settings back without manually resetting them on all 16 of my characters...
Really? But then how did @Circuitous back his settings files up?lordrichter wrote: »Anyone know specifically what files store your settings? Stored on the server, not the client.

Running in 1st person mode seems to sway and bounce now. This is a bit too much realism for my liking. Playing for 15 minutes, I was getting motion sick running around Wayrest.

These no longer stack. Read the patch notes.
Which is freaking ridiculous. There was nothing wrong with the Night'sSilence set and the way it worked for vampires. Now it is completely WORTHLESS for vampires as there are MANY better sets since it's main attraction, the speed, no longer exists. I've sunk a ton of gold into my Night's Silence set and I WANT IT BACK.
I built a set to try it. It was too fast. Just Dark Stalker speed gets me into trouble sometimes. I use it for sneaking and you really can't with that much speed. Forward ... stop, forward ... stop became a real pain. I'd end up clicking too close together and somersaulting into the trash.

Please try typing
/script SelectPlayerStatus(1)
into your chat window instead of the full line. The inclusion of Online, Away, Do Not Disturb and Offline after the codes are just there to describe which command does what.

It's not an issue of maintaining it, it looks like the files that store your settings had default versions lumped into the patch, overwriting yours. I backed up my settings before the patch and noticed afterward that they had a more recent timestamp.
As for why the files got in, well, I'm sure it was unintentional, but it's a heck of an oversight.
Reading all the topics revolving around the update 4 issues, I'm amazed that they even let the update go to EU also as it really seems almost game breaking and rollback should be considered.
Why do you think, you need V14 ASAP? Is that ~1% more Power that important to you? Just wondering...GunemCleric wrote: »Also, since I have finished nearly all quests and story line, i have to go to craglorn (like everyone else who still plays ESO). I thought there was supposed to be a boost to VP in upper zones. I just checked and we would have to kill about 10,000 mobs still to get v13, which means it is about to get very nasty in craglorn, sounds like a brilliant way to lose yet more subs

Aren't we hearing the same after each big update that it's game breaking and should be a rollback or is it just me...
The show must go on so don't panic, they will patch the glitches, as always.

Please try the following workaround for this issue:
Type one of these commands in your chatbox to correct this issue:
/script SelectPlayerStatus(1) – Available/Online
/script SelectPlayerStatus(2) – Away
/script SelectPlayerStatus(3) – Do Not Disturb
/script SelectPlayerStatus(4) – Offline
Please remember to only type in the script and bracketed number (I.E. /script SelectPlayerStatus(2) for Away), not the status description.
If this does not work, please let us know. Also, don't forget to check Known Issues For Update 4 for answers and updates.
