New ESO Music

This question is directed directly at Brad Derrick, the (amazing) composer of the soundtrack for ESO. I love the soundtrack a TON and I read some posts from him saying that over time he would add more music to ESO (I am hyped  ).

I was just wondering:
1. When he does add in new music, will it be included in the patch notes? Basically, will we know, or will it be a secret for some soul to discover, or would it be announced?

2. When the new music comes out, will it be put iTunes, and where? Would it be added to the current OST or released separately?

Thanks

It turns out they hired Jari Mäenpää to make the new music, so expect it around year 2024.

    I mean what.

I mean, I knew nothing of new music in the works. This is fantastic news! Enjoy the bump. Hopefully we get some info on this.

From the experience with past MMOs, it's very likely that new music will get added with all new areas and landscapes in the game. Orsinium somehow comes to mind...

Some MMO producers allocate the funds that are needed for the composition and production of new musical pieces only for an expansion, which in turn will bring in a boost of new revenues. With ESO, I'm not so sure that will happen; instead we might be lucky to see (hear) new stuff every time one of those blank spaces on the map of Tamriel gets filled out.

Brad says right in the answer that he will. Here you go:

Hahaha...if it's on the internet, it must be true!

    (It is true)

Thanks for the kind words, btw. And yes, I will be (and have been) slipping pieces in from time to time. In truth, I don't know if they're called out in the patch notes. Probably not, which suits me fine. The new pieces will come as a (hopefully) welcome surprise to long-time players..."Whu? I never heard *this* one before. 'Bout time...I'm so sick of that other garbage..." :)

As far as iTunes / OST++ goes, that's probably not going to happen any time soon. Mmmmmmmaybe when there's enough new stuff kicking around, there couldl be an OST EP, or maybe the tunes could be downloadable from the ESO site? I have no idea...that's not really my call. I just sit in my dark room and make the pretty songs. :)

Thanks again for listening...gladja like the music!

Awesome. Thanks so much. The music really adds the atmosphere to the game. BTW, I'm pretty sure I did notice a little while ago some music that I hadn't noticed before  Anyway, great job, and keep up the good work!

I too wanted to say thank you for all the amazing music that you put in the game and all the work you and your team do, when certain action sounding pieces come on it's very emotional and uplifting, let me give you an example,

My core guild group and I (5 of us) were in Cyrodiil (in the early days of launch) and we had gone into a dungeon that had a quest in it to get a object and on our way out we ran into another group of enemy players and it was a hard fought battle but we won and then when coming out of the dungeon one of the music pieces came on and it felt like we had over come a big challenge and it was very uplifting.

The music had perfect timing and I had what I call a "ESO Moment" and up until then I had only "SKYRIM Moments"

So I just wanted to say that I went on to have other "ESO Moments" after that but that first one really grabbed me and kept me in the game and I have remained since.

Also, one more question @SoundMaster‌. Is it possible that sometime in the near future you could be interviewed by @ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ and @ZOS_GinaBruno‌ on the new ESO Live stream? Please?

    Please?
