AC isn't going away, but attack speed and AC really aren't the same thing. Haste, for example, doesn't speed up the attack animations. None of the passives or skills in the game were designed to speed up the animations. Instead, it lowers the internal cooldown timer between light attacks. The normal light attack cooldown with a resto staff is about 1.3 seconds. Haste will lower this to about 1 seconds. Most skills have an internal cooldown of about 1 second.
A NB weave of light attack/funnel health can normally be done every 1.3 seconds with animation canceling. Casting haste allows the same weave to be done every second.
This above is exclusively a pvp matter and not the same as dps animation cancelling.cast --> block --> cast ---> block ? Am I doing it right or is there a different way to cancel animation?

DPS animation cancelling is just light attack -> skill -> light attack -> skill. This sequence is totally a natural way to dps.
Animation canceling is ridiculous and should be removed. It is gaming a poor combat mechanic to gain an advantage over players that are unaware of it (and most will be). There will always be people who want to win at any cost - they generally make the world suck.

Ignorance isn't bliss.

It isn't an exploit as it is explicitly sanctioned by devs. It's when you use a light attack and immediately press a skill key before the attack finishes. Does this repeatedly to in a chain with light attacks and it's considered "weaving". Animations can be canceled with blocks too.
Now I'm going to have to report you for cheating because you used animation cancelling.GrimMauKin wrote: »I've never knowingly used it but (as above) I've probably frantically clicked the mouse button and hit skills keys simultaneously.
Why didn't they just add the weapon power in addition to the attack speed?
I really hope they eventually fix animation cancelling though.
