Hi all,
I run ESO live on my SSD, but don't want to use the space on that drive for the PTS. Is there any way to change the install location of the PTS server?

    You can install the launcher a second time in a separate location. Thats what I did to have both installed

    Don't do it! This is causing several people to experience hard drive wipes!

    You need to install it in a folder, not in the root of the drive. It's working fine for me. I don't know how others had it wipe their drive, unless they picked the main drive and didn't make a folder first.

    As you seem to realize it's only going to delete data if you are not careful on its location. Either make a directory first and point it there or make sure you type in the folder you want in the installation path. It's not dangerous nor malicious though a client check on the contents of the folder would be a good thing. This really shouldn't have to be a concern

    With a small SSD I would be careful, an SSD should not be fuller than 75% as rule of thumb. On a small 128 GB with OS and ESO installed that could be very close, safer it is from 265 GB up.

    I have the PTS installed normally on my 265 GB SSD, then I shifted the PTS folder simply to the other HDD and the PTS server is running without problems.

    I've got ESO and BF4 installed on my 128 SSD, along with my OS.
    Absolutely no problems on my end.

    When Alyennnah is not here, she's probably crafting. Quite possibly at Alyennah's Crafting in Wayrest. Or maybe she's out there, looking for new materials, recipes and styles to use in crafting. She wants to craft all the things.
