Mograineb16_ESO wrote: »Yeah I agree with you, it would probably be too strong if you went into stealth 100%. That doesnt mean I cant dream right?OP I don't actually have a problem with magelight being in the game to counter cloak. Reason being is that if it weren't, even the crappiest NB's would be practically unkillable because of their fail-safe escape in Dark Cloak. And then everyone will roll NB and all we'll be having is a huge Ambush party.
Also, usually sorcs are the ones to break me out of stealth thanks to the range on their streak stun. Now that needs to be nerfed even more after 1.4 drops. As it is right now you can stun someone infinitely with streak as the rules of CC break and CC immune don't apply to that skill for whatever reason. Other than that I see no problem with sorcs having an escape. They're squishy usually so if they weren't being pansies they would just be dead (not calling all sorc's out here. Just a lot of people I mark who are sorcs tend to run away all the time like cowards. I have come across good sorcs and have respect for them, but the ones that just blink away I shake my head). Templars and DK's have no escape so they need survivability in the form of shields/heals.
But I like how the magelight was working before the latest patch, that made them see you in cloak but not breaking cloak, so that would make it easier to get away. Maybe they thought it was too easy for nightblades to escape when it was like that and now then made it how it is right now.. who knows really.

I take it you have never used invisibility. We do not "run" anywhere which is part of the problem. All we can do it slowly skulk away (unlike Sorc who can get completely out of range with a single blink) and have to reapply invis every 2.9 secs which quickly drains your magicka. All you have to do is run around to easily catch a NB (unless they have the super speed sneak which most do not)
You dont have problem with magelight, because you hate perma stealth, fair enough. In guildwars 2 it sucked, I agree lol. I was dagger dagger thief, anyone who use dagger/pistol and abuse stealth is a disgrace to thieves.
Me learn to play? ill smash your face into a swollen tomato, lets meet ingame, EU haderus or thornblade, I play AD.1st reaction on reading OP post: LOL
2nd reaction on reading OP post: L2P
I have fought countless NB that stealth away leaving me frustrated and pissed with their cloak even though I run mages light. If you are good with deception and kiting, not even Mage light and caltrops will be able to stop your escape.

This whole topic is about magelight making cloak skill useless, its not if you have problems or not vs people with magelight. I killed hundreds of people who use magelight, but ive died many times also because when the *** hits the fan, cloak fails because theres 3 people running ontop of me with magelight.
Guess you missed the change (bug) with 1.3 where Magelight started canceling cloak when you were playing thefour other toons in your sig. then...Rylana wrote:Nightblade since day 1, magelight is never a problem.
What he meant with magelight taking 2 skill slots is 1 on the mainweapon and 1 on the weapon switch, since you dont want magelight to be turned off in a middle of a fight if you switch weaponsLuvsfuzzybunnies wrote: »Weird cause you can't have 2 instances of 1 skill on the same bar.
Yeah, this is how it would work, if magelight didnt break cloak immedietly on use. It would work basically how it works if you run with bow and the passive from bow that increase runspeed with 30% after dodge, when using that you dodge then use cloak and you get massive speed boost to get away, which works awesome, but dont work when im resto staff or dual daggersTintinabula wrote: »Invest in the invis potions that gives you 30% speed for three seconds. Yes.. I get it, everyone thinks im a noob and cant play. But that doesnt change the fact that I dont like how magelight works, and how magelight works has no effect on if im a good or bad player. I might have come off as a tool in this thread, especially since I havent written down every encounter where magelight screwed me over in detail for you to understand my problem.
The problem is you, you obviously suck at the class. Sorry I am so forward... actually you know what, I am not sorry, get better before you come crying for easy mode.
Also, you will never figure out how to play this class if you rely solely on "cloak" to save you.

I gank anyone.. As templar you are dead if you dont know im there, sure I cant kill you if you know im there and you are stacking your shields. But if I catch you offguard, dont matter if you are on a horse or just walking, fighting or on your way to a fight, you die bro
Yo bro, I'll totally take you and smash your face because I'm a really good nightblade, but no using skills that are there to help counter burst damage or take advantage of other class strengths.... cuz thats unfair and boring. So just stand there please, no block, heals, or shield... and take it. Otherwise you're a cheater and a baddie.....
Just stick to ganking people on horses, it seems to be the only thing you "wont pass on"

So you want them to remove the counter to your build just so your playstyle can be easier. Good one.
He can kill me, no doubt about it, ill probably escape before he does it though
He's probably good enough to kill you just the same, shields or no shields. No decent player will require an "I win" skill like you are doing on this thread. What alliance are you in?
Atleast this patch they fix cloak abit to not break on certain damage over time abilities, seems niceAlienDiplomat wrote: »So you want them to remove the counter to your build just so your playstyle can be easier. Good one.
"Summons a light that reveals hidden and invisible enemies within 12 meters."
It isn't supposed to break you out of cloak so OTHERS can see you, it is supposed to reveal those hidden or invisible players to YOU, with a shadowy morphic particle effect.
My cloak doesn't make everyone around me invisible. Claiming the effect of Mage Light should not only apply to other people nearby but completely break someone out of cloak is just silly.
The ability is clearly broken, like everything else about the Cloak after this latest "fix."

Nightblade cloak even worse than before!

If you grant me this wish, I will never need to die again, I will always be able to escape and my ganker life will be perfect
Edit: I want magelight to be used for detecting people sneaking, not breaking my class ability aka cloak.
