They are also modified by Armour rather than Spell Resistance.
They do not receive the benefits of the Light Armour Spell Penetration passive.
Melee Class skills are interesting because they do more damage to Light Armour players, but less damage to Medium or Heavy wearers.
I have no suggestions for suitable Sorcerer melee skills, but I have no qualms with them having one.

If I use a build that stays in melee range then I want an ability to use that cant be reflected and that can wear down the stamina on the block spammers. The idea that being at range is better in PvP small group encounters is unintelligent. If I see someone and I can just charge them and damage them with the melee range ability until I get crystal frags I can do serious DPS to him with an ability they cant block as long. Everyone who thinks sorcs are OP havent spec'd to beat magic builds.
You have DK with no real ranged abilities and you have Sorc with no class melee skills. It is about concept. You can't have everything. Deal with it.
