Are you satisfied with the racial passives of your main character?

My main is an Imperial and I enjoy his passives. My 2 alts are Nord and Dunmer and they both have great passives too. I'm not sure who would vote No here unless its a Bosmer and its because they didn't get the summon nature's ally ability.

Well I wanted to add more data points to the poll to make it more interesting. Personally, I do think that Dunmer is overpowered in pvp, but honestly wasn't intending to make a rant about it.

Really? Dunmer have always been resistant to fire and I can't really see how this is "OP" in PvP...

It certainly boosts their effectiveness as DKs and vampires. Not sure I'd call it "OP," but there is something to be said for it for sure.

I don't have a problem with the passives for any of my characters, who encompass both racial options underlying the "satisfied" options, although I'm unclear why that breakdown wasn't similarly required for the "dissatisfied" option.

I always played Dunmer in TES games and I have a Dunmer NB, DK and Templar. They are the only race that fits every class and play style I think. The passive are nice but I do think we should have had a bonus to all elemental types not just fire. They had destruction bonus in all other games not just bonus to fire spells.

My preferred race is Argonian so what do you think? I obviously didn't pick the race for the passives but the look.

    Lizard:
    - Extra Swimming (useless in PvP since there are slaughter fish everywhere you would swim)
    - Extra healing gained when healed. (cute but ultimately a small meh bonus)
    - Disease resistance (utterly worthless since I still take damage from meatbag cats and I still suffer the healing reduction)
    - Health bonus (about the only decent ability)

Argonians need to have the following passives:

    - Extra Armor. They do have tough hides compared with the squishy Humans/Elves (should be a flat number since a % would give Lt armor wearers less and Hvy more) Say +75 at lvl 1 and +150 total at lvl 2.
    - ES has always considered Argonians excellent thieves and "sneaky" so they should get a 10% bonus to sneak speed and hide detection.

How can you say that? Argonian is probably one of the best races in my opinion. The potions my argonian uses are vastly better than the potions any of my other characters use. That boost to heals is absolutely meaningful, because it is reliable and you can count on it. Granted, the bonus to healing works better if you have a skill with strong baseline heals (Templar, DK, Restoration, etc). It is also good if someone else is healing you. I love my Argonian Nightblade, and think his passives are fantastic. If I would give him anything unusual it would be claws (which Khajiit should have as well).

The potion buff is the only somewhat meaningful passive (if you're a NB) and that requires upkeep and a couple jewelry spots to take full advantage of. The others are just meh. Poison and disease resistance aren't all that great in the grand scheme of things, especially with the dominance of magicka builds. Bows only use poison extensively. And 6% boost to healing isn't great at all, especially for NBs with HoTs. They're a very tanky race, and there are better choices for that, considering Nords are in the Pact, as well. They just have niche racial passives. I haven't been impressed.

My main DK is an imperial. I wanted the Dunmer (Dark Elf) passives for a DPS spec. Guess what? Instead of complaining that I should be able to pay real cash for a race change, I simply made a Dunmer DK and am working him through the VR's now ;). My first DK will remain a crafter and tank, while the second one will be my trials DPS and PVP one.

The fire resist is fairly significant (except for the sharpened bug), amounting to 15%+ fire damage reduction. +7% flat damage to all fire effects is a big deal as well, as are 9% magicka and 6% stamina. Dark Elves (dunmer) are a top-tier race.

I have several characters (and don't really consider any particular one to be 'main', I enjoy playing all of them equally) so cannot really answer the poll, but can certainly give a written response.

I am extremely happy with the racial bonuses/passives for my Dunmer Dragonknight. The extra fire bonus goes really well with the class.

I am not so happy with the racial bonuses/passives for my Redguard though - but that's largely due to stamina builds not quite being up to scratch at the moment.

If stamina builds are sorted out and better balanced, then those Redguard bonuses could turn out to be invaluable.
