Is there another way to level up through Veteran levels?

I don't really want to play through the Daggerfall Covenant and Ebonheart Pact areas because I wanted to run other other characters through each of them and didn't want to do the quests twice and ruin the story. Is there another way to level up without going through those zones?

Grind Craglorn or PvP. Those are your two other options.

This is why my characters that get to VR become bank sitters and I play another character.

Use feedback, copy/paste the link to this thread if you want, let them know what you think. Then hope that they redo the whole questing experience for VR characters going to other Alliances territory.

I want my DC character(s) to got to AD and the Pact and cause trouble, not redo the same quests I already did with my AD character(s). This will keep me subbing long term, not Craglorn.

I like it the way it is. Cause I don't need several toons to play around.

That's fine, but give us a choice. My Orc does not want to go serve that Auridon she-devil they call a Queen.

Just like it's cheaper to have a minimalist UI, it's also cheaper to just make a different instance and change the level & strength of bosses instead of creating solo content in new areas where VR ranks can level up together in a different story ;).

How clever it must have felt to imagine
Caldwell sending you to each faction to "experience it"...

Once the champ system comes out it will make leveling a lot easier and you may be able to grind in your own faction instead

My Orc does not want to go serve that Auridon she-devil they call a Queen.

Especially because she is so extremely likeable that said Orc would have trouble hating her afterwards.

    "Why are we fighting again?"
"That she-devil Elf queen needs to die! ATTACK!"
"Um.. excuse me? I've met her. She is actually a very nice person, and a good ruler."
    "DIE, TRAITOR!"

After paying through all factions and seeing their side of things, I find the war in Cyrodiil pointless, petty, pathetic. During a cataclysmic Daedric invasion, what is the reason to fight an endless siege war over a slab of land in the middle of Tamriel? Right before the start of the Coldharbour quest, Ayrenn says something like "We must consider that the machinations of Molag Bal may play a large part in the current conflict".

After going through all factions with one character, I just do the quests in Cyrodiil, run the very well designed solo dungeons you can find there, and find the skyshards. I did the last four behind the enemy gates today, and that was probably my last visit to Cyrodiil for quite some time.

I'm thinking too much, I know. But after my character has effectively been the personal friend and savior hero of all faction leaders, it's very hard to just ignore that strong and well acted story and fight like a mindless grunt.

    i TOTALLY agree!

grinding craglorn for 11 vet levels? You can't even enjoy the questlines in a grind group and BORING.

I don't want spoilers for other lands, I want to enjoy the plots and stories.

My vet is sitting around and I started a new toon in a new faction.

I am of two minds on the current VR system. I like being able to see the new areas and play them without starting a new character. (for the record I have 3 active characters so I am not a play it all on one character kind of person) However I am often wondering what the mobs would be like at lower levels and what it would be like to do the quests with less skills available.

I rolled an alt to play EP just based on what it was like to play the zones in VR.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

To the OP: Why do you want to level up? Do you feel your character needs to be at max? If that is the case, Craglorn would be one option. PvP and/or PvE in Cyrodiil another.

I'm playing through the vet zones and having fun. I will eventually have alts in those zones and play the story again, but I don't mind that.

You could also go through your "silver" zone and do all the world bosses, anchors and Dungeons, without ever taking a quest. That way you would get an idea of the lay of the land without spoiling the story.

But thinking about why you want to level will give you the answer on how to best do it.

Yup I'd like to reach max level without spoiling the story of the other alliances. The reason being, that I've saved up my money from level 20, only using items I find in the world to make my gear better, so I'd like to reach max level so I can splash the cash and actually compete in PVP without being slaughtered. :)

I'm a VR12 from DC. I did as suggested above, dolmens and world bosses in the other two factions. I did some grinding in Craglorn, probably gained 5 levels there, but that really didn't take much time. I mostly did the Calwell Silver quests, in first vet zone, because that is the only way to get to final zone. As soon as VR14 was announced, I stopped doing quest...saving them to level up. You can chase achievements in the other zones as well, without impacting the storylines. You paid for the game, figure out what you want, then do it. It's all good.
