    Now to be fair, when the first SS was taken, EP was at 3 bars while DC was at 2 but that should not justify getting MORE pts for doing very little.

    What is even more outrageous however is the last SS (far right). Notice that DC is now AHEAD of EP in keeps and resources (only lagging is scrolls) and is a mere 1k behind in pts compared to EP (which I would call a wash) but is now getting literally 2.5x the pts??? So DC shows some effort and get 2.5x the points while EP is getting pounded by both AD and DC and are rewarded with jack****?

    (I would also like to point out that when the last SS was taken ALL 3 pops were capped so DC should NOT be getting a low population bonus.)


    Zenimax your system is completely out of whack. At the VERY least the population/low score bonus should be assessed BEFORE each and every tick (and probably updated at least every 15mins)

    Underdogs need a defensive/offensive bonus to make the top dog taking objectives more difficult, not just handing free points out to the last spot.



    YOUR surprised by this dc has always seemed to benefit from exploits hacks inside information and help since the start of the game want to guess as to why?

    I am not homed on Thorn - but I am guested to Thorn. I am not EG - I am the PvP leader for Einherjar - referred to commonly as EHJ - I can understand the confusion.

    However, Brandon, who is the PvP leader for EG, and I have certainly clashed in the past. We worked well together today and all of DC benefited with a scroll cap at two bars population Vs. locked population of EP. I know it hurts - why should DC have full raid groups at two bars pop??!?! HACKS!!

    Serious.

    BTW - EHJ never had more than 18 in group during the capture of Farra. I personally thought the recapture was more fun. :wink:

    let me make this clear for you. I did not address you specifically in my original post. However you gladly took the blame for DCs victory (which I still question ;) )

    I'm pretty sure your "18" weren't at 4 keeps simultaneously AND running a scroll...so..someone else must have more people than just your 18..OK?

    This is where I'm guessing( only a guess) that DC en mass "teleported to friend" and filled DCs pop without actually filling it because trust me..your "18" didn't do "that much" my friend. And certainly your '18" didnt make the pop go to two bars.

    yes I know that. I mentioned it in my last paragraph but also made sure to point out the last SS clearly shows DC still getting the low pop and score bonus but they were capped when I took that SS. Too bad both arent displayed at the same time.

    On Thornblade NA, EP currently has a "low score bonus" despite the fact that they are in 1st place in the campaign. Seems fair.

    These bonuses are a great idea but need to turn off when they should no longer be applying (and vice versa) not just stay on for a set period...

    My idea about this new balancing system is the following :

    They made it so the least populated faction gets more points to lure players from the same faction playing in others campaigns to come back when the score is getting even and then balance things out until the next big patch 1.4 hits with new more effective fixes.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)

    I'll try and re-state my point. EG, otherwise known as Eminent Gaming, came over to Thorn yesterday when DC was at ONE bar of population. The group they brought (20 was the count from their PvP leader) and them picking up more people in zone chat - was the buzzsaw running around the map.

    I'm not sure why your tin foil hat idea about "travel to" not counting against population caps - but I have tried this to get into a campaign that was pop locked and the message you get is: "Transport Failed" and you are unable to transport in - OR - queue for the campaign. We were not pop locked - we were at two bars - and remained at two bars most of the night. EP just responded to ALL attacks with 50+ - some slower than others. Those slower responses are what cost you your scrolls and keeps.

    I am fairly confident this discussion will be rendered moot as the map will be completely red this morning and EP will be getting a low score bonus while having the points lead on the server this morning. I have not verified this yet - but it is more than sneaking suspicion.

    SO my presumption was right on the money. EP has 5 scrolls, the points lead over AD by over 1200 points and a low score bonus to boot. Nevermind that AD and DC hold 3 and 4 keeps respectively. The EP night cappers have gotten their scrolls back - and they are running the 6th scroll back now.

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler Is that intentional for the faction in the points lead to be getting a low score bonus?

    I sure hope not

    The next thread about Thornblade will be how EP outplayed everyone and PvP's better than everyone on Thornblade.

    Watch and see :smiley:

    But, yes, DC is a bunch of haxorz for more people coming to play on a campaign that is NOT dead - or overly dominated by one faction to the point of frustrating both other teams.

    The low score bonus should have ended a long time ago, like mid-day yesterday when the point difference stopped being significant. PTS change for haderous indicates it should last 12 hours. Can tell the underdog bonus interval didn't get much testing...

    I want to really love this game and stick up for it every chance I get, but wtf are the developers thinking? It reminds me of the south park episode about the economy with the US government making decisions based on cutting the head off a chicken and seeing where its decapitated body runs to before it falls.

    Yeah first place thornblade US has the low score bonus. I like this game but I wish a different company ran it. There's always something effed up and it doesn't get fixed at all quickly.

    At least for the low score bonus the PTS patch notes say they are lowering the update time from 12 hours to 2 hours. That presumably would prevent what we are seeing on Thornblade NA at the moment.

    DC rarely gets above two bars in prime time so I am not sure what you are saying. If you are saying DC should be getting the low Pop bonus - as well as low score bonus - you are right. EP pulling way ahead - and will be chest thumping soon - due to low score bonus and holding most of - if not all of - the map is just...really bad.

    ZOS needs to fix that for certain. The lag the servers are getting - and constant buggy behavior could be attributed to no server maintenance as well. Why has there not been a maintenance this week?

    The lag on Thornblade last night was really, really bad.

    Especially the two captures of BRK, first to yellow then back to red. Each time, when the capturing faction was stacking the flags and healing themselves to stay alive (a natural thing to do), the game lag got phenomenally bad. There was 15-20 skill lag through the entirety of Cyrodiil (not just the BRK area).

    We would impulse or steel tornado or try to dump oil pots on the flags to defend it during the first keep capture and nothing happened. You couldn't interact with the pre-existing oil pots, couldn't create new ones, Impulse and other AEs did nothing. Frag shields and blazing shields kind of worked, but not well, and little damage was being registered either way. AD didn't kill my team, we all had pages full of guard spam after the flags flipped through sheer weight of numbers.

    Myself, in trying to place siege during it, bugged out and couldn't place siege again until I relogged my game client.
    The low score bonus is finally gone.

    What do you want to bet that they manually removed it instead of the sampling system?

    Yeah, that looks to be an issue with the 12 hour sample window - which will be fixed in 1.4.

    The low population bonus still appears screwy.
